The first budget from Senate Democrats in four years includes nearly $1 trillion in new taxes but would not balance the budget. The blueprint unveiled by Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray (D-Wash.) on Tuesday to her Democratic colleagues would also turn off the next nine years of the sequester and replace those spending cuts with a 50-50 mix of tax increases and spending cuts. The budget would dedicate $100 billion to economic stimulus in the form of infrastructure spending and job training.

I’m confused. The Democrats have gotten away with ignoring their responsibility to pass a budget for the last three years. Why suddenly produce one now? Is it part of the Obama/Democrat agenda to take back the House by creating a budget impasse and blaming it on the Republicans? I don’t see any other reason for them to suddenly produce a budget (since they don’t consider their Constitutional responsibility to be a reason).

Um, I think the CORRECT term is NEW REVENUE.
Now, that's just silly. Fact is, Obongo has a full time staffer to take care of the dog's needs, at a cost of a mere $102K per year. Bo never needs to leave the Sepia House, and that saves the taxpayer a lot of money.
Now, the real question is that the “threshold” that the President has announced and that the international monetary fund is using in Europe is that deficits should not exceed 3% of GDP.
So how does Patty's budget stack up to the deficit no more than 3% of GDP. Note that today France announce it wasn't going to make the 3% hurdle and that it would probably come in at around 3.7% of GDP in deficit.
My personal hope is that this Senate budget is now one goal post and the House budget is the other goal post. Political debate will come in and “in theory” hearings and public debate will lead to a compromise by both legislative bodies so that a budget can be passed prior to the end of September and sent to the President for signature.
We shall see what happens next. What will be truly interesting is if the President submits a budget and tries to move any goal posts.

I heard that, too-and I hope the dog enjoys the cushy life, because I’ll bet he ends up like the Clinton’s cat, Socks did-namely given away to a staffer. Still better than the Clinton’s dog-killed by a car. The Obamas don’t seem to be pet people any more than the Clintons were-pets are just props for ops to them.
Forget that.

oh you made my day...since Bobby boy is our State Senator, and he has been in hiding, like Hillary Clinton does every now and then, but Bobby hides all the time..his letters are a laughing matter, I no longer bother even saying ‘HI’ to him...but maybe between Patty and Bobby I would have to say its a ‘toss up’
