I would imagine the medical equipment tax applies to vet supplies and meds.
Durable medical supplies are taxed the same for Fido and Fluffy as for humans.
And vets pass the cost on their owners.

Vets are exempt. If its a dual use (human use) medical device it will be taxed.
Naturally these dreamy wizards fail to understand that in the real world these taxes will be paid ultimately by the consumer and the provider in some cases as when they cannot successfully pass on the tax. There are times when any hc provider must eat costs. This will compound it. Beyond that device manufacturers will lay off workers and some will fail as inevitably demand for med equipment trends down. Current levels of production will not be sustained. Now the secondary mkt will see an upsurge if anyone is looking for hope and change.

Obama has already had a severe negative effect upon my business with respect to employees and insurance. The drug prices have skyrocketed...ie. Doxycycline has gone from $0.10 a pill (100mg) to $6.00 a pill the last year. Other drugs have similarly escalated exponentially.The government licenses for permits have escalated along with the DEA license.
