(CNSNews.com) New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the large soda ban set to go into effect this month at city restaurants, street vendors and movie theaters is how government tells the public whats in their best interest. We're not banning anything. It's called portion control, Bloomberg said Sunday on CBSs "Face the Nation." It's a typical way that companies use to and governments use to explain to people what's in their interest and what isn't.

Hello, even if you buy into Bloomie’s having people’s best interest at heart -
“explain to people” is not the same as ‘impose on people’.
Ah, Bloomie dear, that’s one hell of a ‘portion’ of money you got there all to yourself. Any idea, sir, how many have starved to death while you hold that great big gob of cash in reserve?
Five Guys has a restaurant in Times Square. They should market a “Bloomberg Burger.” I’m thinking a quadrupedal bacon cheese burger would work.
If you BAN the cups, Bloomers, it IS “banning.” Putz.
Rudy needs to run again - Go get ‘em Rudy!
Same thing my husband said. He's actually considering buying something from them. LOL
Naw, it would be more like two thin slices of whole wheat or pumpernick, sandwiching the smell of cooked beef accompanied by a picture of fries on the side. Bloomberg is a coomie at heart and believes he is right and a savior for controlling the sheeple.
Key word being control. Any politician who believes it is the government's prerogative to "control portions" of what citizens consume lacks a fundamenatl understanding of the concepts of citizenship and liberty. Any voter who accepts and supports such a politician DESERVES to live as a slave.
Portion control? LOL! It’s almost impossible to control certain human impulses, Bloomy.
Like, for instance, how I’m having trouble controlling my index finger “impulse” every time I hear you bleat.
People don’t need government/Bloomberg included managing their portions.
Amazing how many people want someone else telling them how to live their lives.
A subliminal slip - this is precisely how the ‘ruling class’ views American citizens;
We are all considered potential welfare wannabes. This is totally reprehensible and diminishes our standing as the Gubmint’s employer(s).
Bloomberg WORKS FOR US!!!! He is NOT OUR MASTER, our JAILER, or our FATHER!!!!
Blooming idiot reflects the real attitude of the gloablist elite of which he is a flaming member.
Does he think smaller forks and smaller spoons would have made the FLOTUS’s a$$ any smaller?
Although a ladle is more her choice.
Just heard that Mayor Bloomberg was expresing concerns for people’s health. Good grief.
Parents can use portion control with their children.
Mr. Bloomberg, you are not my parent and I am not your child.
“How much portion control should someone exercise when theyre sticking a 1 liter bottle of soft drink up your a$$??!!?”
Oh, that’s allowed in New York. You aren’t allowed to DRINK it. But anything goes in the bathhouses.
“Amazing how many people want someone else telling them how to live their lives.”
Very reflective of a single mom/no dad/easy divorce culture.
We try to replace our fathers.
We are not banning guns. We are exercising explosion control.
I really didn’t think this POS could sound any stupider or would reveal his true Judenräte beliefs.
What’s with you Noooo Yawkaws?
Most of you sat on your asses and ate popcorn watching OWS.
You bitch when the deli is out of your favorite snack.
They turned the World Trade site into a full employment, corporate welfare disgrace and you’ve done nothing.
I got news for ya. Snake Pliskin ain’t gonna rescue you.
Stand up against this communist prick.
