Well, they finally did talk about the filibuster on ABC. I can’t believe they wouldn’t have him on all the shows. THis blacklisting is quite obvious.

George Will said what people saw in Paul’s 13 hour filibuster was “Honest Passion”. It is rare to see in Washington leaderhsip these days, and people are responding to that. I agree with Will on this one.

Don’t ruin it for me but they all agree Rand Paul went over the line and should be ignored. We need more civil politicians.

Pray for America

One of the “terrorists” they droned was a sixteen year old American citizen who they claimed was killed by mistake. If I shoot you because I mistake you for a deer I get tried for manslaughter. Obama and Brennan get off with an “oops, my bad!”?

Speaking of opinions, I’d like your definition of “Great Republican”.

Actually, Vet, I agree with bert. Jeb is a “great Republican.” That’s the problem.

Wahn defending president’s ability to kill Americans. I was hoping Laura Ingraham would reach over and b-slap him.

Now discussing upcoming NY trial with Bin Laden’s son-in-law. Laura thinks we should just drone-kill him. “Why was he given the right to remain silent?”

Coming up: “What do you think about last week’s inverview with Mitt and Ann Romney?”

*****

Not sure Laura thinks we should drone him. Maybe she meant we should take him to Gitmo and interrogate him, not tell him that he has a right to remain silent.

Documentary on Cheney - RJ Cutler. Cheney says he’s not worried about what people think of him. Beautiful fishing scenes.

RJ Cutler says Cheney taled about Honor and duty regarding enhanced interrogations, etc. Cheney had total conviciton he was doing the right thing. Cutler says it raiees the question when does total conviction gets in the way of (good Leadership, democracy, not sure what he said.)

. Cheney shouldn’t have done this documentary.

I’m sure she doesn’t, as he is currently in custody, and she articulated the rest of what you stated, but she did say it as a glib comment at the end of her statement.

That 16 year old AMerican they killed was al Alwaki’s son....so I’m not sure it was a mistake. They tried to say he was 20 or something until his family produced his BC.

Awwww. How cute. Steffie queries whether Obama ‘spent more quality time’ with the Pubbies this week.

Debbie Wassername is on. I can’t watch any longer. I just ate a roll for breakfast and I want to keep it down.

For libs, terrorists and them are on the same side and should be held in high regard. They are the militant arm of their movement to destroy America. Of course they are going to be given their “rights”.

Pray for America

Jeb Bush would be one. Rand Paul is one, Senator Cruz is one. Governor Scott is one.

Ronald Reagan was one. Sarah Palen is one. GHW Bush is one. Barry Goldwater was one.

The list is long...... together they integrate the value of greatness

Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin were the three most ostracized Republicans in my lifetime. By their own party.

The Bushes, on the other hand, have been the equivalent of one of the five families inside the Republican orthodoxy. They ACTIVELY worked to undermine the three names above that you have misappropriated as part of your argument.

In fact, most recently, the matron of the Crime Family told Palin to “go back to Alaska.” Her husband gained fame for trying to shut Reagan’s microphone off. It’s just cheesy to link for-real conservatives to the Corleones (or their consigliare Rove).

The Rand Paul filibuster did two major things:

1. It called out Obama and, due to it resonating in Twitterville and social media, it forced the WH/AG Holder to issue a response.

Paul kept the topic of the filibuster simple: Does the president have the authority to loose a drone strike on an American citizen on American soil without a warrant/court authorization?

The morning after, Holder responded: No.

2. It called out the old (emphasis on ‘old’) guard of the Grand OLD Party, a dozen of whom, by the way, were having dinner that evening with President Obama.

Paul shook them to their core. How dare he upset their comfy apple cart and cushy seats in the Senate? How dare he challenge Obama? How dare he — it wasn’t even a ‘legal’ filibuster, according to an early McCain comment.

Hours passed, as Paul slowly, methodically, coherently, talked, sans teleprompter, about the rights of Americans, about The Constitution, about the over-reach in presidential authority. Eventually, some fellow Senators joined in to ‘ask’ questions, thus giving Paul brief breaks.

It wasn’t until late in the evening that others, some from the House and some fellow Senators, realized this had turned into a BIG event in Twitterville. They got off their comfy seats and went to the Senate chamber, and joined in. [How many of them are up for reelection in 2014? That would be an interesting survey.]

Paul’s filibuster resonated. If he continues to make such headlines, he could become a real contender for 2016. That is what is shaking up the old guard GOPe and their ‘it’s his turn’ guy — who seems at the present to be Jeb Bush.

Meet The Press - Tom Coburn on his man date with obama.

Thinks the president is very sincere. He’s got a great chance to stop poking your finger in the eye of your opponent and building relationships.

Wow, Coburn is a cheap date, IMO.

Okay, this is ridiculous. The REAL story this week was Rand Paul. It was historic. Each news show is leading with the “Dinner” with obama. Mr. and Mrs. America were interested in the filibuster, not obama’s dinner with sellout Repubs.
