The people have spoken. Elisabeth Hasselbeck, one of the five cohorts of ABC's daytime talk show The View, will not be returning to the couch next season, following hot on the footsteps of fellow cohost Joy Behar, a source tells Us Weekly.
According to the source, the show's resident conservative voice is being ousted after market research revealed that she isn't popular with TV audiences.

Headline shortened to fit.
Yeah, I am sure she “wasn’t popular” with the libtards who watch that.
Having never seen the show I cant say if this gals opinions were extreme or not.
But something tells me that they are extreme only in the minds of left leaning liberals.
She will be much better off away from those old hags. ;-)
Make the Feminazi’s happy replace her with Rachel Maddow.
Just posted this on another thread about Behar ...
there is a blind gossip item out right now that would fit what is going on at The View.
Someone got fired at a TV show for revealing personal info about a star.
Frank Langella gave Walters Chicken pox but Walters didn’t admit it until an ABC insider leaked the info.
Could be Behar or Elizabeth.
the culprit’s contract isn’t going to be renewed - which means fired.
A couple of years ago, I was at a dental appointment. TVs were in each room, set to this show. I couldn’t take the hens clucking and asked the hygienist to mute the volume or change the channel. She said “This is where all the girls in the office get our news.” Ugh!
sad thing is she isn’t terribly conservative. given the rest of the cast she appears with, relatively speaking she is, but in reality she isn’t terribly conservative.
Liberals are the most intolerant people on the planet.
That’s it. Libs are the only ones that have the time to sit and gulp up that drivel dished out by Whoopi Poopsi and the gals. “Gorp! Gorp! Gorp!”
I briefly had the absurd thought that since Behar was leaving that they might add another conservative to achieve a little more balance.
Low information audience.
To the cackling hen, lefty audience of the View, a male/female traditional marriage is considered extreme.
It's like watching Jerry Springer, but without the fistfights.
I saw the show a few times.Very articulate and real easy on the eyes. She wasn’t intimidated by the other “women” and presented the conservative side effectively.Classy chick-”The Views” loss.
TV execs don’t care about politics. They care about ratings. If they think Hasselbeck is a negative ratings-wise, she gets the boot.
like Palin and all of us found out, a “hot” woman will not get supported by all the OLD HAGS out there across the fruited plain.
When the hags turn on the TV in the morning after looking at themselves in the mirror minutes before when they got up the last thing they want to see is Elizabeth Hasselbeck!
If they were to poll men Elizabeth would be the only one left on the show!
They prefer Whoppi Goldberg’s flatulence. Go figure.
I came here from Drudge. There was something there about Brooke Shields joining The Coven...er, The View.
The only time I saw clips from “The View” was when a FNC show would air a clip...usually Behar or Whoopi or Rosie O’Donut saying something mindblowingly stupid. Elizabeth Hasselbeck was a punching bag for those batbleep crazy leftwing pinkos, and woefully outnumbered. I felt bad for her.
Batbleep crazy leftwing pinkos seem to be the target demographic of most television shows now (which is one reason I cancelled DirecTV and didn’t replace it with anything).
