“Imagine our kids begging and pleading, throwing tantrums to get you to buy more fruits, vegetables and whole grains,” Mrs. Obama said. “Yes, this is possible,” Mrs. Obama said. “It is possible to create this world!”

No need to imagine that. That exists in third-world hellholes all over the world. Children beg and plead and will sell themselves for any semblance of food at all. 0stickman will get us there yet.

The fruits and vegetables are fine, with fruits in moderation due to high sugar content.

The whole grains, on the other hand, will ultimately screw you over.

That tragic picture is not needed to make a point in this discussion.

I'll meet you halfway, Mooch. I'll imagine an America where the fruits and vegetables don't presume to dictate dietary policy. Fair?

This woman is a complete IDIOT, to much of any thing is NOT good for you. A diabetic child cannot eat a lot of fruits and must watch starchy veggie portions along with the breads. Eating has to be balanced, with grains being the LEAST eaten, not the most as we have been taught for decades. Man first learned to eat fruits, tubers, meat then grain AFTER he learned to cook it.

Same goes for those doing the Cholesterol thing where your TRIS are high...

Bananas, grapes, apples, oranges are all HIGH sugar fruits. A diabetic can have HALF a banana that is how high the sugar is in them. 2 small apples a day will triple your TRIS....been there and will drop your good HDL to boot.

When considering tastes in food, the wookie heritage must be considered.

The Wookie in the white House springs from the line immigrating from Kashyyyk, the planet from which they all came. Their diet consists almost solely of the genus Oncifelis of which there are only two very boney species.

Once released from the shackles of Kashyyyk Oncifelis diet, the consumption of plant life becomes possible. The first Wookie’ s progressive love for plants is actually an expression of disdain for Oncifelis

It might be of interest that ALF, of the planet Melmac, is of the same genus as the Wookies. They do not eat the Oncifelis, preferring the more prevelant earthly Felis silvestris catus.

Just like a Dickens orphanage with little kids begging for more food.

I think the quote from one Dickens novel was, "green shoots, you promised me some green shoots".

While searching for it, stumbled on this:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Green shoots is a term used colloquially and propagandistically to indicate signs of economic recovery during an economic downturn. It was first used in this sense by Norman Lamont, the then Chancellor of the Exchequer of the United Kingdom, during the 1991 Recession.

[1] At the time, Chancellor Lamont was criticized for "insensitivity".[2] The phrase was used again by Baroness Vadera, former Business Minister of the UK in January, 2009 to refer to signs of economic recovery during the late-2000s recession, again to criticism from the media and opposition politicians.

[2] The U.S. media started to use the phrase to describe domestic economic conditions in February 2009 when in New York Times quoted Bruce Kasman, chief economist at JPMorgan Chase as saying, "It's too early to get excited, but I think there are a couple of green shoots that say we're not going down as heavily in the first quarter [of 2009] as we were in the fourth quarter [of 2008]."

[3] The Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke, made the first public use of the phrase by a Fed official in a March 15, 2009 interview with CBS 60 Minutes. Since February and March 2009, it has been used increasingly in the media[4] and by a number of commentators[who?] to refer to positive economic data and statistics during the late-2000s (decade) recession.

I read somewhere that the White House (and Moose-shelle) went ballistic over Paula Dean's comments regarding Moose-shelle's visit to Paula's show and her pigging out on all the fried food in sight.

The Obamas are such hypocrites in every aspect of their lives and the public impression they try to project - even worse than the Clintons who set new standards for low, duplicitous behavior in their time.

The Obamas want us to believe they live on arugula and soy cakes when they are actually pigging out on deep fried hot wings, Kobe steak, buttered lobster and giant cheeseburgers.

Steaks, meat, etc, are high input, expensive foods -

the same thing was done during the feudal times, they convinced the peasantry that eating gruel was good for them.

Maybe that’s why Obama wants the drone program. That wasa real eye opener and bookmarked.
Yes, Clinton’s hit new lows on hating military stealing the silverware, desk jobs, name it but Obama has turned the WH into some ghetto scene. And the lies, sheesh all the lies. I mean politicians lie and promise like no other but these two? It’s absolutely sickening.
Thanks again for the link.
