Elder Sen. John McCain, who this week engaged in friendly fire when he launched his "maverick" missiles at fellow Republicans seeking clarification on the administration's drone policies, has upped the ante, deriding Tea Party-backed GOP lawmakers as "wacko birds."

Politicians like Mctempter, Graham, McConnell, Durbin, Specter, Lott, etc... have made their good gig trick a secret for a long time. Status quo and a carefully scripted game which is more like the script in a pro wrestling tag-team spectacle, has been their bread-n-butter for decades.
Mcnasty was made to look useless and bad by Paul. How dare he? Tar-n-feather the lott of them.
Like a ball team owner who wants his team to lose just before the playoffs, he can claim a good run in the stretch, lot's of accomplishments, and a good fight. He's in a better negotiating role for contract negotiations that way. Saves him about 100 million in salaries and lives cozy enough finishing just under the top tier teams. Finishing #1 leaves you nowhere to go but down and at a higher cost.

Wacko Bird?! Srsly John? Good grief ... senility does not become you.

To McCain, the “anti-government people” (ie, those who don’t inherently trust the government)
are the enemy.

“Angry” and “McCain” go together like “Horse” and “Carriage”, or “Corned Beef” and “Cabbage”. He’s never far from an intemperate outburst, is he?

"It's always the wacko birds on right and left that get the media megaphone," McCain told Huffington Post's Jon WardAmong the Republicans, who gets a bigger media megaphone than McCain? So which wacko side is he on -- left or right?

Gov.Palin campaigned for John McCain, knowing full well he was like this. I would like to think she would help us get rid of Lindsey Graham in 2014 but she would have to go directly against John McCain to do that.

Welcome to today’s Republican Party, ladies and gentlemen. The Senator who was the party’s nominee in 2008 and who at least claims to be a small government advocate is going out of his way to claim a prominent member of the new generation of small government advocats is “wacko.” He only saves his worst insults for other Republicans. Dems like Obama and Hillary are his “dear friends.”
