Sen. Rand Pauls filibuster didnt thrill all of his colleagues.
Almost exactly 24 hours after the Kentucky freshman began his information-seeking filibuster against CIA nominee John O. Brennan, fellow Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham took to the Senate floor to denounce his demands and say he was doing a disservice to the debate on drones.
I dont think what happened yesterday was helpful to the American people, said Mr. McCain, Republicans presidential nominee in 2008 who topped Mr. Pauls father, former Rep. Ron Paul, in that years primary.
And where even Democrats praised Mr. Paul for using Senate rules properly to launch a filibuster, Mr. McCain said it was an abuse of rules that could hurt the GOP in the long run.
What we saw yesterday is going to give ammunition to those who say the rules of the Senate are being abused, the Arizona Republican said.
Mr. Paul said he was filibustering to get the administration to affirm it wont kill non-combatant Americans in the U.S. but Mr. Graham and Mr. McCain said that was a ludicrous question.
I do not believe that question deserves an answer, Mr. Graham said.

These two guys have got to go. Now.
Purple B*tt-Budies cover for 0bambi.
“Much like Cruz in Texas, we need to get the right kind of conservatives in those seats and not waste them on turncoats.”
It is phenomenal how wasted our years were here in Texas with Kay Bailey Hutchison as Senator when you see the impact of her replacement Ted Cruz
Pretty clear to me, the establishment doesn’t want anyone making noise that may catch the ear of the people. The Other Bush is next in line, don’t ‘ya know?
Next election I will not bow down to the fear about the world coming to an end if we have a third party candidate. Screw the GOP.
Dear McLame and Gramesty:
STFU!
They are out.
They are so politically driven and aware, they probalby even know it.
Pat and Stu are recommending that Allen West moves up to SC to run against Lindsey Ghramnesty in the Primary...
Mr. Graham said he had been inclined to oppose the nomination because hed found Brennan to be qualified for the job but also arrogant, kind of a bit shifty. He said he wasnt going to filibuster him but would have voted against him on final passage, but now hell vote for him.
I am going to vote for Brennan now because its become a referendum on the drone program, he said.
What a pantload. The little turd never had any intention of voting against Brennan. He and McCain were in the Oval Office doing a Lewinsky on the Kenyan.
This just makes me want to puke and swear.
Keep your powder dry folks. These bastards are going to help the fascists load us on to the cattle cars. And that's not paranoia. They are traitors.
McCain the “maverick,” eh?
Tactics of totalitarians. No “speech” for Rand.
GRRREAT thread BUMP! Enablers of the senate collective. Co-conspirators of totalitarian triangulation by 3 branches of government. Useless eaters/plunderers.
McCain is an idiot. God Bless your service, but please - retire now!!
Now we know what they discussed at dinner.
Ditto. Assuming we have a free election.
Anyone wonder if the dick head twins are actually in league with the left to eliminate the GOP? Sure looks like that's their goal. Drive out conservatives and the GOP would, for all practical purposes, merge with the Democrat Party.
So be it. If there are not enough liberty loving people to form a party that can challenge that, then the future is already determined. We had best put our resources into survival preparations.
If that isn’t a deer-in-the-headlights look on McLame’s face :)
What a sorry ass, good for nothing loser! Get real, Arizona, get rid of McLame, replace him with a real man, conservative, of course.
The question not only deserves an answer...it demands an answer. Too bad we only have ONE rep with the balls to demand that answer.
McCain and Graham are the problem....not the solution.
Get rid of them.
!!!!! WTF?
Now that is just gross! LOL!
Figures.
