‘Rosa Parks would be ashamed!’: Ohio (greedy teacher) strikers heckle substitute teachers

Dozens of striking teachers gathered Sunday at the police headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio, to protest people showing up to apply as substitute teachers.

In a video shot by Sun News’ Cory Shaffer, people shouted “scab” and “go home” at a dangerously close distance from the applicants being escorted into the building by police.

One man can even be heard screaming, “Rosa Parks would be ashamed” at a black female applicant.

The teachers went on strike because the school board is not offering automatic raises based on years worked.

Maybe one of those substitutes will teach her classes that Rosa Parks isn’t what all she’s cracked up to be. She wasn’t the first to sit in the white section of a bus. She was merely doing what her handlers told her to do much like the empty suit squatting in the WH.

Interesting. I’d never read anything about the Rosa Parks conspiracy or orchestration about her actions. I will certainly look into it but still think she was a brave pioneer nonetheless.

I busted a union in Western Pennsylvania, along with my acceptance of Christ as Savior and a wonderful marriage to my dear wife (RIP), that's one of the three major highlights of my 70 years. It was euphoric when the labor goons at the shop got fired one by one. So much for their seniority protection.

One of my few regrets about living in Texas is that Big Labor is so weak here that there are few changes to walk through a picket line. :-) I used to get great pleasure at shopping at places where the clerks were on strike, boldly looking these thugs straight in the eye and breaking their morale.

My dad was the unsung white male counterpart of Rosa Parks. I’m old enough to remember the event re Rosa Parks. My dad drove a Greyhound bus between 1933 and 1948, partly between Springfield MO and Tulsa OK. He refused to enforce Jim Crow. He would not make the “colored” passengers sit in the back. He then, when he was promoted to station manager in Houston Tx, in the late 50s, integrated the bus terminal and the Post House which was the restaurant in the terminal. No plaque, no national holiday. Just a quiet, brave man doing what he believed was right.

I live in Strongsville and have two children in Strongsville schools. Yes, their behavior toward the applicants was atrocious over the weekend.

Worse yet is the trash mouthed, road blocking imbeciles we parents are forced to try to not hit as they block access to the road up to the school house as we drop off and pick up our kids from school!

For my part, I do not want these asshats anywhere near my children. Looking at private schools in the area now. St Joseph and John perhaps.

Not sure what the relevance of that is but ok, thanks for sharing. I never said private companies were to blame for Jim Crow laws, I understand politicians and judges in the south implemented them. Not sure how the private company issue entered this discussion but a nice little piece anyway.
