I was surprised and honored that Jihad Watch was among the nominees for the People's Choice Blog Award, sponsored by Right Wing News and TheTeaParty.net, to be awarded at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2013.
As you can see from the vote above, Jihad Watch won decisively, getting over 50% of the vote in a field of fifteen. And I received confirmation of the victory from one of the organizers of the CPAC blog awards when I asked him when voting officially ended:

But as time went by and no announcement was made of this victory, and the voting continued despite my having been told that it officially ended last Friday night and that I had won, and the promised links and other placement promised to the winning blog didn't materialize, I started to wonder. So I contacted the organizer who had written me telling me I won and asked him what was going on.
He told me that there was a slight problem: the Tea Party group, which co-sponsored this People's Choice Blog Award, didn't want to allow me to receive it at CPAC next week unless I promised not to criticize Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan as I accepted the award.

Methinks, Grover & Suhail are hiding behind a supposed shadow "TP group" that they made-up out of thin air. Frauds.

CPAC has been compromised. Time for another group to try.
This is exactly the reason I refuse to firmly attach myself to any organized tea party group. When you have a firm organizational structure, it provides targets to be bought, intimidated, and compromised.
TheTeaParty.net, which has been a fundraising scam from day one. I think they also run "TeaPartyCommunity.com". F-em.

If CPAC is ashamed of Jihad Watch, then I’m ashamed of CPAC.
For some strange reason, the conservatives seem to think that the republicans are incorruptible. The consevatives are very gullible on this account. Never, ever, underestimate the ability that power can corrupt even the most uncorruptible, or that they weren’t for it in the first place, and played you for a sucker.
Good, Norquist has to be exposed and disposed once and for all.

Grover Norquist - EVERYTHING that is wrong with the GOP!
Old Grover is up to his usual tricks! Most importantly, destroying conservatism!
From today’s article, titled, “ The Grover’s Choice Award: Jihad Watch wins CPAC award, barred from receiving it” explains how a noted blogger was barred by ‘a Tea Party group’ from accepting his award unless he agreed to not criticize Grover and his Muslim henchman Suhail Khan.
URGENT!!! We need to know NOW which ‘Tea Party’ group this is! It certainly is NOT representative of the Tea Party!
