Cannabis decriminalization measures across the United States, including the medical use of marijuana in California, have been sharply criticized by the United Nations, which has warned Washington they violate the international drug conventions.
The International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), which polices the drug treaties, has also warned about the growing public health threat from the unprecedented surge in legal highs and called for concerted global action to curb the growing trade.

I have never agreed with the pseudo legalization of Mary Jane. It is either legal or it isn’t. But if it pisses off the UN, bring it on!
Wherever you stand on the issue, this is ridiculous. Aren’t the Netherlands in the UN? Are they being reprimanded?
I didn’t even know there was a so-called “international narcotics control board” until now. The UN really does want to be the USSR writ large across the whole planet.
It’s not even really worth talking about. The UN’s priorities are so messed up, it’s scary. They attacked Russia for their laws against gay propaganda. No words on China’s abortion politburo running over babies in parking lots. We should bulldoze the building, with all the diplomats still inside.
Yep. That does it for me. Pass the joint and to hell with the UN.

But if smoking pisses off nanny-state leftists, I can accept it.
Drug Warriors and the UN, a perfect match.
P Oed because it cuts down their drug profits. The world runs on ILLEGAL drug money.
In Colorado and Washington, it is.
No, it is a dangerous drug.
I can see it being used by cancer patients and the like though. But if they do and they are in an apartment, for gosh sake eat it or take it some way that doesn’t pollute the whole complex.
Thank god there are ways to now evict the abusive ones.
