Hudak conflated martial arts with firearm defense without realizing that one of these tactics requires close contact with an attacker, a physical deflection. Hudak’s prejudiced characterization of women and firearms is reminiscent of Colorado Rep. Joe Salazar’s sexist remark that women were simply too hysterical to own firearms.

Hudak’s argument that a woman could be disarmed and her firearm used on her flies in the face of FBI crime statistics and presupposes that the woman won’t fire and/or is incapable of properly using a firearm. See, Amanda Collins was overpowered, disarmed, and left to be a victim. By Nevada lawmakers. Not her rapist. Just what Hudak said would happen, though not exactly.
Quite a dangerous thing to disarm women and create more rape victims based on a dangerous, baseless assumption.

It is irrelevant,even if it is TRUE, that a woman with a gun will likely have that gun used against her by a rapist or attacker.
The government has zero rights or powers to deny a person their choice of self-defense, even if they have chosen a poor or imperfect in unworkable self-defense.

engenders too much “non-dependence” on the state

Calling leftist extremism a disease poses a problem: most of the people who suffer and die as a result of the disease don't have it. Well over 200 million people were deliberately murdered by their own leftist governments during the past century. Who has the disease? Who dies of it?
Calling leftist extremism a form of evil like slavery or Jim Crow racial segregation seems to simplify the problem.

The den was going to rape a survivor of gun violence at the hearing. I believed that just might happen as they rape us survivors of other democrat crimes as often as they can.
