“...zuess-fasteners...”
I still have my zuess key. I started out my AF career as a firefighter and got it when I was just a very young Airman at Myrtle Beach. The Wing at MBAFB was transitioning from F-100’s into A-7’s. Heavy flying schedule and used my zuess key many times. Once had 7 barrier engagements in one shift. Later crossed trained and became an Air Traffic Controller, but I digress!
Named after Will Dzus
technically a turbine blade is something like a prep sort of...soo.. good point, thanks.. got my ‘crashes’ maligned. ;-)

Three of the most often heard last words before a crash are: "Did you feel that?", "Did you hear that?", and "Oh $hit!"

Thank you. I never knew they were named after the inventor. I still have my DZUS key but the only thing I open with it are paint cans. I ought to go on ebay and see if they are still available. Mine was given to me by an A-7 crew chief because I needed to get into the aircraft battery compartment.

Hah! A fine story, sir... :-)
That’s a great story, thanks!
No, St. Louis. I thought it was spelled Lamberth but alas, that is the spelling a snaggle-toothed child would use. It is “Lambert” Field. I don’t know what the name is for the Green Bay port.
You should send that into Reader’s Digest for the Humor in Uniform section. Thanks for the chuckle.
Thanks. . .funny now, even then. . .but the commander didn’t think it was so humorous.
Thanks, guys.
