yup. they know what it’s for and they want it to happen too.
God gave you a life. nobody else has a right to take it. you don’t let evil run unchecked. those you talk about had no weapons, had no way to defend against anything. we are not in the same boat, by God’s grace. He doesn’t give us freedom and abilities just to chuck them aside and watch others butcher the innocent while we sit around saying “It’s God’s will.”
this amounts to pacifism relying on the “God wants us all to be martyrs” theory. it’s a lot more convenient. even the jews fought going into captivity, they had to be defeated, they didn’t just ignore their ability to defend themselves.
if you think you’re dead anyway, why not make them earn it? they’ll spin you as a terrorist or whatever, if you even get a mention at all.
I own a copy that I bought new, whenever it came out.
Let me offer some insight here. There are problems with the MRAP:
- higher center of gravity.....this means that it flips fairly easy. Just by jumping a sizeable curb at a fair amount of speed...you might be able to flip it.
- It has antennas on it usually...tall ones. So if you hit the right electrical line...you blast everyone in the vehicle with voltage.
- In urban areas, it’s ok with bridges. In rural areas...around the south...half of the bridges might collapse with this thing on them.
- It gets three to five miles per gallon on average. I’m guessing it has a fifty-to-seventy gallon tank.
- It has poor maneuverability...especially in an urban street area.
- It’s basically designed to drive guys to a mess, and dump them off. It’s not made to breach a house, fence, barn, or facility.
- It would make sense if you were basing 400 around DC for the protection of the President and the Capital...but so far, they haven’t said what the intended deployment will be.
- Top speed: 55 mph. Although it probably isn’t that safe to be in the back and hitting any potholes, and I doubt you can turn any real street turns at more than 15 mph (it’d flip at higher speed).
- Spare parts. You might luck out on the first year or two....but spare parts are going to be a problem. I’m guessing that they will have a warranty program for two years, and maybe DHS will cover another two years...but after that....your local community will be stuck with the bills.
- The sad thing here is that some nut on a tractor, with a five-inch pipe mounted on the front....could flip the truck over if he could get them into a position where they can’t manueaver. After you flip it....I’m guessing it’d be $5k to rent a crane to pick it up safely and put it back on it’s wheels.
It’s a paperweight....burning $4 a gallon fuel for each run. You’d best have a ton of money for fuel and parts.
It can for those who are in favor of government oppression – those of a Pro + oppressive bent (Proppressive)
But not for those who want to preserve liberty.

It is not surprising that all these stopgap spending measures instead of a real budget are what is NOT getting the normal congressional budgetary scrutiny...
That would be a very damning thing to get the congress to get off ITS azz and expose this nonsense...
But then again, we’re going to have to live with the risk of this force being activated until we gain back control of this country...If we ever can...
BTW, I think a few of us also saw that in addition to these MRAD’s being deployed with their prosepective teams, we have 400+ M1117’s being refurbished for “unspecified” domestic duties as well...So throw the number of those into the mix and we have about 4-5 strong divisions of troops under direct authority (other than the military DoD) getting ready to jump off on some interesting adventures...
The off nominal un-Constitutional, un-restricted potential these “units” pose upon our freedoms and liberties is horrific...
But then again all we can do is ask...And they will continue to lie and deceive us at every turn...

If Bush really had wanted to protect Americans from radical Muslims, he would have done something about our border security.
Starting with putting up real, physical fences on the borders.
But he didn’t.
If Bush had wanted to do something about protecting Americans from radical Muslims, he would have stopped being such a bootlicking dhimmi with the “Islam is a religion of peace” crap. He would have stated the obvious in an obvious way, and if radical imams popped up in Detroit or whereever, we should have used that as an opportunity to take them in without disturbing the rest of the populace.
If Bush had wanted to protect Americans from radical muslims, he would have diminished or eliminated immigration from islamic countries. He didn’t. If Bush really wanted to protect Americans from radical muslims, he would have prohibited any foreign muslims from attending engineering schools in the US, as well as cancelled the student visas of muslims already enrolled in engineering programs.
Bush did none of these things. What Bush did is blow sunshine up your backside. That’s it.
I fear when the evil slime in government decides to strike, they will attempt a brutal Shock and Awe" against the citizens of our Republic.
When you start reading it you will not put it down. Will pay several hundeds of dollars for it if you find it what I had heard. It is out here on .pdf.

Does anyone have an actual government document pertaining to this, or is this being rocketed around the blogosphere.
I have heard from someone in the government that DHS has only 12, would like to see some independent confirmation...

When tyrants come for anyone’s guns and kill, many millions of us know what to do without hesitation.
They’ll try to win 2014 election, take the house, then take the country after it collapses. That’s the plan.
I don’t have a problem with local law enforcement having access to an armored vehicle, depending upon what they do with it.
I remember several years ago a sniper had people pinned down in a 7-11 up the street from me and the county police positioned their armored car so that the people could be extracted. That’s a legitimate use. Oppressing the people of course is not.
