This is getting a little creepy. According to one estimate, since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm. DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP). (30-35,0000 drones are on order--being built in Starkville, Miss.)
Modern Survival Blog reported: The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.
Although I’ve seen and read several online blurbs about this vehicle of late, I decided to dig slightly deeper and discover more about the vehicle itself.
The new DHS sanctioned ‘Street Sweeper’ (my own slang due to the gun ports) is built by Navistar Defense (NavistarDefense.com), a division within the Navistar organization. Under the Navistar umbrella are several other companies including International Trucks, IC Bus (they make school buses), Monaco RV (recreational vehicles), WorkHorse (they make chassis), MaxxForce (diesel engines), and Navistar Financial (the money arm of the company).

The MRAP featured in the video was in Albuquerque, New Mexico for Law Enforcement Day which was held at a local area Target Store. This MRAP is stationed in El Paso, Texas at The Homeland Security Investigations Office. MRAP is a Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicle.

Years ago our Government did attack it’s own people at Kent State and later in Waco.
That didn’t work out so good for them...
Also, all of the tanks are operated by good lawful people that are picked from the non-criminal population of our country.

Where is the evidence that DHS has 30,000 - 35,000 drones on order.
Note that the light tank does not have a "holding area" but does have gun ports. Obviously if they are using this thing, getting arrested is not part of the plan. The reason for the mine resistance is to assualt a prepared position or to "patrol" a hostile populace that will be shooting at them.
This has NOTHING to do with Police work, and everything to do with destroying America. If they are using this tank, getting shot is already the primary option. Any attempt to stop this thing is to save American lives.
Indeed they are not the same men. Bush was an honorable man. But he created entities and programs in Washington that will far outlive him. Nixon created the EPA because there was political need for it and it appeared to him as a way to get ahead of the environmental issue. 40 years later, is the EPA what he, or other Republicans intended it to be?
I am worried about how Obama, or any leftist, might use DHS in the future but the sad thing is, he didn't need to create it. It was already there, ready for him to use.

However, the EPA may frown on this practice as it may pollute the groundwater.
It is becoming increasingly obvious that those holding positions of authority in our Federal Goverenment are preparing for the Social War that will be breaking out at any time. Remember the Federals have available to themselves far greater information than we private citizens have available.
You can say that about anything. Guns and bullets were already invented—all Obama had to do was come along and use them on his own people. The air was there, waiting to be poisoned. The ground was there, ready to bury people. Give me a break here. You are really stretching things to blame all the current preparations on Bush.
Anyone remember when BILL CLINTON gave the LAPD two thousand full automatic M-16s? He later sent large numbers of bayonets to the LAPD.
Just some out-loud speculation. In the event of massive civil unrest, how would these things be used? It would seem to be a high priority to keep food and other supplies flowing to the big cities, which means these things would have to be used to patrol the highways.
There are over 47,000 miles in the interstate system alone, or 17.5 miles per vehicle being purchased. At any given time, all over the country, there will be 16 mile stretches of unprotected interstate for the zombies and spikey-haired mutants to disrupt food supplies to the cities.
When that happens, most of these units will have to be moved to the cities to quell the inevitable food riots, leaving the highways even more unprotected. Haven’t even mentioned the other highways and railroads yet.
The country is just too big........and there are far too many zombies and spikey-haired mutants.
These tanks wont roll and the ammo they ordered will not be used until the dust clears.
