That is what you focus on and making sure you give your voters a reason to show up at the polls. This is where Romney failed and Obama succeeded by staying radical enough to get his people to believe they were stopping the evil rich guy from hurting the poor. Romney campaigned that he too would keep the evil rich from hurting the poor in the end and lost. He never gave people a reason to work on GOTV since he threw our principles out the window.
As for the Republicans fully engaging voters with a strong, unwavering, CONSERVATIVE political agenda and profile, it ain’t gonna happen. The Republicans are a liberal front group with most of its power residing in blue states and country clubs.
The conceit that Bolshevism can be “voted out” of power is one thing. To imagine that liberalism can be presented as the winning alternative is to imagine that the USA is 1970s Naples or some such. Look for the sorry-ass Republicans to nominate Alexander Karensky to run in 2016.
Chrispy Creme Christie comes to mind. He's pro-abortion and anti-second amendment rights. All the RINOs adore him. Karl Rove and the Beltway professional campaign strategists love him. He's a weasel, dislikes genuine conservatives, and mocks the Tea Party. He'll fit in perfectly.
He'll also lose.
Did I mention he'll fit in perfectly?
Well stated PB. The only other alternative is a third Party, which if we are going to lose anyway is a real possibility. If everything we know about politics is wrong, then fearing a third party is wrong too.
Pray for America
