Amazon has a new commercial out for its Kindle Paperwhite, but if you didn't watch it all the way through you would have missed out on a great twist ending.
snip
When they're done talking about the Kindle, the guy makes his move on the girl and says they should go out and celebrate.
"My husband's bringing me a drink right now," says the girl.
Guy's reponse: "So is mine!"
And both the guy and girl turn around to wave to their respective husbands.

I’ve heard of Fruity Pebbles but Fruity Kindles?
Dammit. I own two kindles. Why oh WHY do companies feel the need to jump into the culture wars? It’s becoming impossible to shop without inadvertently supporting the pro-abortion and/or gay rights crowd. This is beyond disgusting.....it’s downright satanic.
JC Penny.
F&ck Amazon.
There's money to be made. Demographics are destiny. Those most likely to part with their disposable dollars do not share your values or views. You're still fighting a "war" that was lost twenty years ago because you ignored the attrition and all the signs of setbacks. We're probably two generations removed now from the pivot point.
Having worked almost thirty years in the advertising business, I couldn’t have said it better, you nailed it.
“You’re still fighting a “war” that was lost twenty years ago because you ignored the attrition and all the signs of setbacks”
I won’t take that personal since twenty years ago I was a newly-turned 16.
I understand the $$/demo part. I didn't realize gays made up that much of a (spending) demographic, compared to straights. I thought straights far out numbered gays - in overall numbers and in spending. We see how this *outreach* failed for JCP.

Gays as a demographic group have a lot more money to spend compared to the average consumer.
I see the ‘war’ as global in nature, and our cause, while having lost ground in Europe and the USA, is making huge victories in Uganda, Russia, and soon likely Greece. If a Russian company ran a similar ad in Russia, arrests would be made under the new law.
The problem is heterosexuals who side with the homosickual agenda.
Those people are generally scum who inflate their self worth by rolling over for the sickuals. They get to feel good by not actually having to go out and do anything good with their time, effort or money.
Sadly, the cultural war has been a complete success for the Rats.
Nah, that can’t be true if they are such a minor percentage of the total purchasers, what you are looking at is the forcing of companies to comply by PC attitudes of those that either are in charge or those that control the ink. It has little to do with reality...and who really cares except those that do...These companies are a bunch of jerks!
That is why only you and me can actually change things when they do this kind of activity - just quit buying from them. I know it may be a problem but just maybe it will stop all of this PC nonsense.
It really is just a continuation of the Political Correctness attitudes of the left so if you want to ignore them, you have to only support the companies that do NOT support them. I really hate to drop Amazon but if this is true, they are gone from my shopping list.
I agree. Spot on explanation, Deagle.
I have already canceled my Amazon Prime. Don’t shop there anymore. Not that my business makes a difference, but I feel better.
Thank you Jane! I have removed them from my list of buyers. That is really a shame too since I have bought so much from them...but their politics are interfering with their business and I will not tolerate that. They need to learn the hard way it seems.
And rightly so... Only reduced sales will make them understand their stance. Sometimes it is necessary, don’t think that it is the best way, but sometimes it is the only way.
>Why oh WHY do companies feel the need to jump into the culture wars?<
.
Hell, isn’t the entire country in a culture war?
“Gays as a demographic group have a lot more money to spend compared to the average consumer.”
No, they don’t. What you mentioned above is nothing more than gay propaganda. A gay physcian assistant or middle-level manager makes no more money than a straight, single guy.
