Axelrod Disses Sperling To Downplay Woodward Dust-up

David Axelrod has written Gene Sperling off as a political lightweight lacking the tonnage to have intimidated Bob Woodward in their dust-up over the sequester.
Appearing on today's Morning Joe, Axelrod sarcastically asked "what is Gene Sperling going to do to Bob Woodward? Bob Woodward, who faced down H.R. Haldemann as a young man, feels intimidated by Gene Sperling?" You really have to hear the sneer in Axelrod's voice as he pronounces the name "Gene Sperling" to appreciate just how far under the bus Axelrod was willing to throw a fellow member of Team Obama.

"what is Gene Sperling going to do to Bob Woodward? Nothing. But as I understand it, in the thug world the boss doesn't always make the threat himself. He sends a lackey.

Whoops: good catch! Much as I also like the Freudian mistake, I’m asking the admin mod to correct it :-)

Axelrod is who Axelrod thinks Axelrod is. A douchbag; not anything else.

Hmmm....
Methinks the “Woodward is a doddering, senile fool” tactic wasn’t polling too well. Time to throw Sperling under the bus!

ROFL!! What a great typo, Axelord! That there’s a keeper! :o)

heheh, so
"Axelrod is who Axelrod thinks Axelrod is. A douchbag; not anything else." becomes:
"Axelord is who Axelord thinks Axelord is. A douchbag; not anything else."
Oh, yeah, works great.

Axelrod has demonstrated several times that he can find a whore ~ the real thing too ~ at any socio economic level, in any environment, and convince her to say anything he wishes about anyone at any time of day or night.
He even found one in the Treasury Department's IG! Bill Clinton had found her earlier for the Elian thing.
That's not a talent to be sniffed at. BTW, we continue to have some Freepers who believe those women.

It's astonishing to me, all the so-called “Republicans” that are willing to down play the Woodward dust up. If Woodward wins this, he stands tall, and Obama looks small. Note to “Republican” pundits: “If you don't like the Woodward imbroglio, just SHUT UP!”

This is deliberately obfuscating the issue. Woodward can take it. This is a message for younger journalists still trying to make their career, for whom a warning from Gene Sperling would make them quake in their boots. The Obama people are masters at misdirection.

We were just told last week how journalists are afraid to ask questions because of the threat of losing access, a reporter's bread and butter. It isn't a physical threat. Even low information voters should get that is what is going on.

For the media it is always all about access. The DBM sold their soul to The One early on in exchange for access. Seems like that deal with the devil isnt working out so well for them now. They will not be able to control this monster they helped create.
