"what is Gene Sperling going to do to Bob Woodward?

Nothing. But as I understand it, in the thug world the boss doesn't always make the threat himself. He sends a lackey.

Axelrod is who Axelrod thinks Axelrod is. A douchbag; not anything else.

It's astonishing to me, all the so-called “Republicans” that are willing to down play the Woodward dust up. If Woodward wins this, he stands tall, and Obama looks small. Note to “Republican” pundits: “If you don't like the Woodward imbroglio, just SHUT UP!”

This is deliberately obfuscating the issue. Woodward can take it. This is a message for younger journalists still trying to make their career, for whom a warning from Gene Sperling would make them quake in their boots. The Obama people are masters at misdirection.

We were just told last week how journalists are afraid to ask questions because of the threat of losing access, a reporter's bread and butter. It isn't a physical threat. Even low information voters should get that is what is going on.

"what is Gene Sperling going to do to Bob Woodward?" channels "I got my own family Senator... I don't know no Godfather"
