Is Chris Christie finished in the GOP?
Yahoo News ^ | 2/27/2013 | Harold Maass

The popular New Jersey governor angers conservatives — again — by announcing he'll go along with ObamaCare's Medicaid expansion New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, still in the GOP dog house for saying nice things about President Obama's handling of Superstorm Sandy mere days before the November election, angered conservative critics once again this week by announcing that he would expand Medicaid under ObamaCare. The news came as the organizers of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the annual enclave of the nation's conservatives, said they didn't invite Christie to this year's gathering because he has a "limited future" in the Republican Party, in part because of his backing of gun-control legislation that is toxic to many conservatives.

Christie’s up for election in November. He is (like most) a twist with the wind politician. In 2009, he was a hard-line conservative. Now he’s a moderate-liberal.

It is clear that we in the Conservative Movement do not have representation in the political class.

He’s such a lib, one shouldn’t be surprised if he switched parties.

The GOP is merely the other wing of the American one party system. However, in order to try to sell to Americans that there really are 2 parties, Christie might have to switch to the Democrat wing.

Chris will eventually follow in the footsteps of Charlie Crist.

If he were honest he would have switched parties long ago. Had he done so, he could have more fully enjoyed his hug with Obamugabe and would have received no criticisms from his own party for doing so.

NJ Governor Chris Christy was slobbering all over Obama after hurricane Sandy because Romney didn't pick him as his V/P running mate. It was about pay back ... stick it dumpling man you are going nowhere but Trenton NJ.

Once a yankee, always a yankee.

I was just puzzled by all the talk of Chris Christie this and that.

He IS a northeastern liberal republican. George Bush and his daddy were born up in the northeast and dragged all that compassionate conservatism poppy cock down here to Texas.

They have a whole different way of thinking up there than we do down in Texas. Texans are conservative to the bone, not some wishy warshy mamby pamby splittin the hair kinda hogwarsh.

Unfortunately, Texas has/is being over run by illegals, H1B’s, left coast critters and northeastern yankees.

Hope I didn’t forget to offend someone. hehe

GOP remains behind the times since the neo-cons took over. If you’re not for bombing Iran now, you have no future.

He’s got like a 70+% approval rating in NJ. I don’t think they care what party he represents.

As far as being a GOP 2016 prospect, forgettaboutitfatbastard.
