Following in fellow MSNBC co-host Chris Hayess footsteps, the networks conservative pundit S. E. Cupp has withdrawn from speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference next month over the issue of same-sex marriage and the exclusion of GOProud. Cupp announced her decision to back out on The Cycle earlier this afternoon.

On the other hand, in the future, I think I will withhold my support from any conservative shorter than 5'7" or taller than 6'1"
Pro-lifers take a lot of heat for being ‘one issue’ voters...looks like supporters of sodomite ‘marriage’ feel the same way. Ironic.
Never thought I'd say it, but this is my last input to FR; enjoy your own little world folks.
If they would be conservatives who happen to be gay, I’d agree...
But they call themselves “Gay Conservatives” ....
That’s not keeping it in the bedroom but sticking it in your face...
[I think that tolerance is in the Bible somewhere]
God states, VERY clearly in the Bible, that choosing a homosexual lifestyle is wrong, a sin and an abomination.
Surely, homosexuals are doomed to an eternity in hell unless they repent and stop that perverted lifestyle choice.
punishing little girls who don’t want to share bathrooms (showers?) with older boys is a punishable offense in MA schools now, how is SE Cupp on this issue?
lolz
Oh goodie...Krystal Ball....
Who ran for congress in VA-1 and it came to light she and ex-hubby liked to film kinky stuff....
So she’s a “political strategist” now? Really.....

So, you think that if a school girl taking a shower (or a poop) after PE doesn’t like sharing it with a tranny boy 3 years older than her, she should be punished?
Cuz I guearantee you that GOProud supported that in MA
God does not tolerate evil or depravity. What part of "abomination" do you not understand.
Actually, it is not in there 'somewhere'. We are not to judge someone's salvation, as that belongs to God, but we certainly should 'warn'. And to love a 'sinner' (and we are all sinners) is to warn them of the wrath to come if they do not repent.
What you will find in the Bible is the exhortation from God to 'Be thou Holy as I am Holy'. We certainly fall short of being what we should be, and Thank God the Lord Jesus Christ came to save sinners, but we do not help others by telling them it is fine to indulge in sinful behaviour (effectively telling them, 'peace, peace ... when there is no peace').
I understand.
an organized effort to take over the GOP would succeed. It just has to be done under the radar with no PR. Unfortunatly we have too many attention whores around from various groups who want only their own glorification. That is from all groups including third party wanabes.
Also remember some of these third parties are funded by the enemy.
Who the hell is SE CUP?
Went to wiki and learned she is an atheist MSNBC host.
Why the hell do we care and why was she at CPAC to begin with?
Anyone want to support this group at CPAC as well? Or are you a beastiphobe?
Exactly. I'm a well-informed, staunch conservative and I have never heard of her/him.
This is the Left's forte - create strawmen and then claim victory.
SE is committing career suicide these past two weeks. She’s going to lose her entire fanbase. 3 years from now, she’ll either be out of the media all together, or pull a Charlie Crist and flip parties. Too bad. Although, I found her to a great asset to our movement a couple years ago.
Agree on all counts. But continuing to support the gop and their pro gay/illegal/tax/lib agenda id our certain destruction.
I would suggest to many in this thread that Ms. Cupp has a valid point though I suspect that her reasoning is a bit faulty.
Conservatives need to realize that these issues are coming up because the left is baiting us into a fight on their terms and we need to stop allowing that to happen. They know that as long as this fight continues at the federal level they have a chance of winning and if they do manage a win we’ll all be screwed. Conservatives need to put a stop to this and get the fight back where we can have the most impact - at the local level.
We need to adopt a policy of replying to these matters by stating unequivocally that things such as this are not federal issues; that we can not have a limited government if we also grant that government restrictive powers over the individual; that the power of the state, no matter how well intentioned, must be used with great restraint when it comes to individuals.
Why risk having this battle on one front when we can just as easily fight it at the ground level on 10,000 different fronts? At least that way if we lose 10 or 20 smaller battles we will not have lost the whole war.
