Actually, no. He referenced God's plan that each pay 10% but added that another percentage could be just as equitable and would make things truly equal to all. It was the principle (flat tax) he was advocating not the 10% tax (tithe) itself.
That was the quintessence of truth to power, indeed!

Is the Prayer Breakfast the proper place for political speeches?
I would say that Schakowsky and other Dems might have a
point if no political speeches were given at previous such
functions. But something tells me that many political speeches
have been given in the past including by Obama himself. So
spare us your false indignationn, Democrats. Tell your story
walking. Besides, a lot of us were not too pleased when Obama
dressed down invited Supreme Court Justices at last year’s SOTU
speech. That was not the place to lecture those who are not
able to defend themselves. Democrat, in general, are not
choosy where and when they wax political.
Whenever I see this hag's face, or hear her voice, I know she'll be preaching the communist crap that made her semi-famous.
