LOS ANGELES (AP) Dozens of protesters rallied outside Los Angeles police headquarters Saturday in support of Christopher Dorner, the former LAPD officer and suspected killer of four who died after a shootout and fire this week at a mountain cabin following one of the biggest manhunts in recent memory.
Protesters told the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/11Ndm6i ) they didn't support Dorner's deadly methods, but objected to police corruption and brutality, and believed Dorner's claims of racism and unfair treatment by the department. Many said they were angered by the conduct of the manhunt that led to Dorner's death and injuries to innocent bystanders who were mistaken for him.
Michael Nam, 30, who held a sign with a flaming tombstone and the inscription "RIP Habeas Corpus," said it was "pretty obvious" police had no intention of bringing Dorner in alive.

Who in their lifetime hasn't been treated unfairly? WTF would this world be like if we all responded like Dorner?
His training officer writes this guy up and was quite outspoken about his temperament and wrote that he lacked judgment and common sense in the field. Guess what happens next?
This guy files allegations his training officer used excessive force...And he waited *days* to report these allegations, after being critiqued and “written up” by the training officer.
The reason he was fired he found out that his training officer had written him up for his poor performance, he decided to retaliate, making up a story about her kicking a suspect.
Ya see any serious red flags, corruption, dishonesty, character flaws or serious issues in regards to Dorner?
(barely) human filth

This case will never be put to rest. It will probably die out from public exposure like the Rodney King case but will never be put to rest. I am no fan of the USA police forces as I believe that many of the people in the various services were/are would be bullies who now can be under letter of law. However, when an obviously deranged man or woman decides decides/chooses to kill/eliminate some other person including law persons I believe the law has a right if not responsibility to hastily remove that person from danger to anyone else. To argue that such a person deserves legal considerations is sophistry as to another persons right to live free from danger.
Dorner shot a woman, Monica Quan in the head and killed her.
It’s little wonder that guys like Marc Lamont Hill, Toure and Chris Matthews adore him.
They will have to start testing it again, to make sure it is still effective..
Good thing Dorner was such an inept dork or he could have done a lot more damage
All I can think of is Ed Asner and Tookie Williams (Crips cofounder) circus. You are so right. Thank Goodness for Arnold Schwarzenegger or (it) would be still soaking off the Gov't teat or be back on the streets.
Considering that this is LA, the only surprising thing was that it was “dozens” and not at least “hundreds” if not “thousands”
He was inept, but he managed to drive to Big Bear on one of the few roads leading up there, Highway 39 I believe, and hide out for six days.
Whenever I used to drive up there I always saw CHP’s and local Sheriff's patrolling the highway. How they missed him until his Truck went up in flames is a mystery to me. Everyone living in Southern California was aware of the Vehicle and his description.
Every digital Freeway Road Sign had the description of his Vehicle posted. Too bad the LAPD didn't get the memo before they took out a few innocent Civilians because the Officers had no idea what a Gray Nissan Titan actually looks like.
Meh...its L.A. on a week-end...any excuse for a party.
Dorner is a hero just like Obama is hero. welcome to America where the idiots run around free and achieve nothing more than destruction. Remember there will always be idiots.
LOL—My thought exactly. Probably a few FReepers in the bunch.
Dorner the murderer will soon have his own version of the Che tee.
“the victim” solved!
With a Mil for his bounty? “Sorry brother but I need to update my stash”
I wanted him to go to trial, and then get hung.
It is a very dangerous precedent to have cops believe they can kill without a trial. Which they may have here.
