A THANKFUL HEART
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Philippians 4:6
Years ago I taught a message saying that when you ask God for something, you should thank Him ahead of time that you are going to get it because that will help release your manifestation. I believe that. I took the scripture above to mean just that, that when I prayed for something, I should start thanking God that it was on its way. But one day God revealed a broader scope of that verse to me. He said, "No, what I am really saying there is that when you pray and petition Me for anything, make sure you are doing it from a foundation of a thankful heart." Then He went on to say, "If you are not thankful for what you already have, why should I give you more to complain about?" In those days, I had a complaining heart, a murmuring, grumbling, faultfinding heart. I could find a thousand things to grumble about, but God does not want us to have a grumbling heart. He wants us to get to the place that we are living epistles, read of all men. From our lifestyle, people should be able to tell that there is something different about us, "Why are you so happy? Why are you so peaceful? Why are you so loving?" We are supposed to be salt and light to the world. Our lives are supposed to make people want what we have. So, lets not look over our shoulders to see what others are doing or not doing. Look at how God may be able to use you in His kingdom today. He has gifted you just as He has pleased (v.3).Excellent! Thanks, Mayor, for today's sustenance for body and soul.
A Blessed Lord's Day to you and yours.

DEAR LORD, who suffered torment, agony, and death upon the Cross to free our souls from the chains of iniquity, protect and defend our troops. Guide them in the performance of their duties. Strengthen them to endure hardship, danger and deprivation in Your service. Let their efforts free the people of Iraq and Afghanistan from the chains of terror and slavery, foster a lasting peace in the region, and bring all to a greater share in Your Mercy.
Amen.

Thanks...I understand that the walker is a pain in the butt, but falling and breaking something is even worse. And I can’t get either up from a fall unless they can help a bit.
I’m glad this “episode” happened on the weekend so my Mom didn’t have to “handle” it alone.

A Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours, ML...((HUGS))
Sounds like you and Linda have a new favorite destination. Do you just turn her loose to run and play and you find a bench? Or do you follow her, just keeping an eye out?
Are you finding the same friends each weekend, or making new ones?
