Air shows are more about recruiting but I agree that its time to only spend on what is absolutely necessary.
Time for the Air Force to ground the first lady and Nancy Pelosi too.
Maybe just cutback on the maintenance of Nancy's plane a bit if nothing else.
Bags fly free on Southwest so maybe that is an option for the old bag

Air shows are more about recruiting... It's also a good opportunity for Tax Payers get to check out what they're paying for. They have a 'cool' factor. And morale to a certain extent is lifted. Folks get to meet, shake hands with and thank a lot of active duty. But the shows are probably seen as pro-military, pro-war and arms and gun crazy by the Lefties. Which is exactly why Obama's DOD might put the cabutz on them.
