The liberal hosts on MSNBC just couldn't get enough of watching U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio reach for a glass of water and take a sip during his rebuttal of President Barack Obama's State of the Union address, airing the snippet a staggering 155 times during the Wednesday broadcast schedule.
Other cable news networks showed the footage far less often. CNN aired it 34 times, and Fox News Channel played it just 12 times -- all of which took place on The OReilly Factor and Hannity while the hosts discussed the media's obsession with the Florida Republican's watergate incident.
MSNBC's total would not have been so overwhelming if the host of The Rachel Maddow Show hadn't aired it 101 times, along with a loop of the moment at the bottom of the television screen for more than 13 minutes.

Attack...ridicule and demean...pure Alinsky!
I’m sure every time the Kenyan Communist fraud in the White House ATE DOG MEAT, he washed it down with a glass of water. What’s the big deal?;)
It’s a signal to all the liberals that they are from now on to ridicule Rubio, just like they did to Palin.
The libs can’t win an argument on facts, so they resort to character assasination.
does anyone still think MSNBC is a real news channel?
This is a liberal diversion to avoid discussing the irrefutable response given by Rubio to President Obama.
What would happen to the mind if a person watched that 155 times in one day?
Someone in their control room needs to be checked on.
Yet another example of the infantile mentality of the Left.
Showing anything 155 times displaces any real information while giving the impression that they are informing.
Its cheaper than real information, doesn’t require your “newsies” to have analytical ability or access to real information for that matter. You don’t have to pay for hotels and rental cars for people to go out and gather news.
The public is satisfied to have the sense of knowing without actually having to know anything.
Someone said this earlier: “Laugh, then cry, then pray.”
What a sad situation we find outselves in, here in the good old USA.
Isn’t this the same network that:
Cropped out the head and hands of a black man at a rally with an AR-15 for a segment that these rallies were just racist events against the president?
Edited the 911 call from Zimmerman to make it sound like Zimmerman was a racist going after the black guy.
Edited the tape of a recent gun hearing of one of the fathers of the Sandy Hook victims to make it sound like he was being heckled?
Funny I have not seen it any where, oh I never watch the alleged news media.
In my best Forrest Gump voice.
I gotta pee for watching MSLSD!

“Attack...ridicule and demean...pure Alinsky!”
Well they clearly received their “orders”.
This is why I am worried that we will not have another conservative in the White House. These “news outlets” will not let anything positive about a conservative on the air. They will work overtime to destroy anyone who might be dangerous to them.
This is such a petty criticism - Rubio quickly gulped a much-needed swallow of water while making his rebuttal to Obama’s SOTU speech. I can’t believe the leftmedia obsession over it will somehow destroy Marco Rubio. If it’s that easy, we may as well concede the 2016 election now.
They sure missed their chance with Paul Ryan during the Ryan/Biden debate; Ryan gulped water like it was going out of style and he was a sponge. ONE SIP OF WATER and Rubio gets ATTACKED? That’s silly! - Guess the :/ “Anointed One” doesn’t need water like the rest of us humans. Twinkie :/
Exactly so. This is blather designed to avoid discussing the merits of anything Rubio had to say. It is the propagandist's equivalent of a jamming signal.
The interesting thing to me is how the jamming signal can be turned on and off at will, through every "news" agency simultaneously.
