The Obama administrations Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says it should be a federal crime to refuse to hire ex-convicts and threatens to sue businesses that dont employ criminals.
In April, the EEOC unveiled its Enforcement Guidance on the Consideration of Arrest and Conviction Records, which declares that criminal record exclusions have a disparate impact based on race and national origin.
The impetus for this guidance is that black men are nearly seven times more likely than white men to serve time in prison, and therefore refusals to hire convicts disproportionally impact blacks, according to a Wall Street Journal opinion piece by James Bovard, a libertarian author and lecturer whose books include Freedom in Chains: The Rise of the State and the Demise of the Citizen.

Barack has to look out for his base.
This country is more effed each day due to the machinations of the permanent DC liberal/affirmative action bureaucracy that the meteor only missed by 4600 miles
Criminals? Ah, we already have the pre-criminal democrates, never punished for anything, might as well open all the prisons now and overrun the country in pogroms while disarming us... the abuse tempo must increase. Give them the keys to your bank accounts...
So armed robbers are now going to be hired as bank tellers or else???
Obama voters more likely to serve prison time .
At least they are admitting it.
Not worries mate.. The ATM already replaced them.
Meanwhile Rove is destroying his own engine, the conservative base, and RINOs in congress are going in denial, Orwellian and offering zero resistance.
aren’t these the same people who want to crack down on employers hiring illegals?
Obama’s objective is the Destruction of America.
Anybody want to site one of his policies that don’t reflect this goal?
Law says if you cannot be bonded for fidelity coverage, you cannot work for a federally insured financial instituion. I wonder which law they will choose to enforce??
Have any of you ever watched “Death Wish 2”? In the 1982 movie there is a scene at a cocktail party in which one guy advocates that whites should commit more crimes in order to equalize the disparity between the number of black muggers to white. It was treated as a joke but look, now we have the reality, that is exactly what liberals want.
If the SHTF, and it’s 0bama’s gov’t holding on against a country in rebellion,
I’m betting one of the things he does is open all the prisons.
This really shouldn’t be a concern.
With the enacting of ObamaCare, we’ll be lucky if ANYBODY is working in the next few years.
So let’s see here your resume says you have experience in thuggary, bribes, extortion and petty theft. I’m sorry but the only position we have available in in crongress.
Oh, I thought this was the next step in removing our ability to “discriminate.” Most recently it was newcomers like mental illness, including alchoholism, age, and so forth. But turns out this is just an extension of race. Hey, how about the justice department goes to the horse’s mouth? If criminal history “disperately impacts” blacks, then ipso facto lawmakers, cops, DAs, judges, and juries are racist. Try punishing them instead of employers.
We truly are intent on destroying civilization, some of us, aren’t we?
By the way, God damn the person who first taught a judge the term “disparate impact.”
Because stats show...if 0bama had a son he’d look like an exfelon who can’t get a job.
