President Obama on Thursday hailed his administration for its transparency.
This is the most transparent administration in history, Obama said during a Google Plus Fireside Hangout.
I can document that this is the case, he continued. Every visitor that comes into the White House is now part of the public record. Every law we pass and every rule we implement we put online for everyone to see.
The president said this holds true even on the issue of Benghazi, a controversy which he said was driven by campaign year politics and one that Congressional Republicans were clinging to even though theyve run out of questions.
Benghazi is not a good example, Obama said. Weve had more testimony and more paper than ever before.
The president has also been criticized even by some liberals for his use of drones to target terrorist suspects abroad, some of who have been U.S. citizens. Obama said there are a handful of issues, mostly surrounding national security, that require some confidentiality.
However, the president pledged to be open about how drones are used, saying the public will know the parameters around the program.
What I think is absolutely true is its not sufficient for citizens to just take my word for it that were doing the right thing, Obama said.
The president added that there are different policies on how drones are used abroad, compared to how theyre used in the U.S.
I think theres never been a drone used on an American citizen on American soil, Obama said. We respect and have a whole bunch of safeguards into how we conduct counter-terrorism outside the United States
the rules are different inside the United States.
Obama...Holder...Napolitano...Need any more?
This is Obama’s Richard Nixon moment........”I am not a crook” Now shares top spot with Obama’s claim today.
If a POTUS lies like a rug and the MSM covers for him 24/7/365 is it really a lie?
That is a Great video!
“Fast and Furious” - still waiting for “Just-Us” Dept. cooperation in Congressional investigation (2 Years )
..”Benghazi Murders “- no response from State Dept. regarding Congressional committee investigation ( 5 Months, and counting)
..”Benghazi Arms Sales” - still waiting for information ( At this point , what’s the difference”)
..”Fireing 20,000 US Armed Sevices , and sending $700 million to Islamic terrorists”
etc. , etc, etc.,...
Sounds like he just finished a bong or snorted a couple lines of coke. I guess it all depends on what your definition of "tranparency" is.
The usual media hacks will continue with the protection racket.
Ridicule and social torment is the only thing that will work in a society that so highly values the valueless musings of other vapid shallow minds 24/7.
We should have all seen this trend when Clinton was not hounded from office for (at least) stuffing cigars in an interns hoo-hoo.
I think I see the problem. Obozo is using the loony left dictionary of ordinary words. Everyone else is using a regular dictionary.
It staggers the imagination that he gets away with defining government transparency as making the visitor log public. Or that the rules (he illegally promulgated) are made public on the INTERNET.
I think? He thinks he's so dang clever.
He lied.
It's really as easy as mouth-breathing to him.
Here’s a few he forgot to tell us. Who was aboard the plane when the fake Air Force one buzzed New York? What are the names of the people who were in the Benghazi consulate when the attacks started and when can we speak to them.what is the name of the highest ranking official who okâd Fast and Furious, or Susan Rice’s TV appearance?
The value of a free press is not and has not been been exercised with liberal leaders for some years. They cover for Dems no matter how blatantly corrupt and skewer the GOP.
It would be understandable the media would report this way in a country run by a dictator...but then it looks like we may be going that way.
You’ve got that exactly right, lying comes second nature to him.
Satire?
I’ve read that people in the administration were meeting in (coffee shops?) or some such places to avoid the meetings with supporters being put on record.
I can’t remember who was involved.
