At post #399 Alask Wolf attempted to set criteria for how much time the police should waste before they kill a suspect.
I attempted to get him to put a dollar value on it based on the parameters he defined.
The closest thing I got to a numeric answer was at his post #416, an indeterminate value contingent on the value of his insurance policy (rich people with big insurances apparently rate more negotiation time) or zero if shooting at the cops.
Can't argue with zero if actively shooting, but I do note that the shooting had stopped by the time the fire starters showed up on scene.
Interesting response. Burning a wounded man alive is not only appropriate it’s funny?
Between each round fired, they all should have stopped and said, "Hey Chris lets talk about this"...We'll send in some tacos and coffee....Come on Chris"
As if this AH didn't know he was going to the joint for life x4 and would be a target for every psycho lumberhead in the joint...Hehehehehe..
Especially since it came from your imagination and keyboard.
They didn't try for a peaceful resolution
The fugitive had 6 days to surrender peacefully, didn't he?
the shooting had stopped by the time the SWAT team showed up
Then what evidence do you have that the POS was still alive? Awfully presumptuous of you, isn't it?
they knew he was wounded due to the visible blood splatter they observed
Another presumption on your part. How could anyone know the condition of the fugitive? How could anyone besides the bleeder know whose blood it was?
No attempt to negotiate
Dorner had 6 days to negotiate, peacefully surtrender and get due process. He didn't, he chose to fire on police and die at their hand. His defenders and apologists are just as stupid as he was.
the gold standard for police conduct
Your mindless allegations are proof of your bleeding heart liberalism.
Poor burning wounded man!!!
I would have even settled for them attempting to look like they were trying for a lawful arrest.
They didn't. They went straight in for the kill.
No. He knew they wouldn't even try to take him alive.
He was right, they didn't make the slightest effort to, indeed it's a tribute to poor weapons training that they didn't manage to kill surfer dude and newspaper delivery chicks in their eagerness to be the one in on the kill.
Wrong again, deceiver and criminal apologist. I asked you questions. I attempted to set nothing. If you're just going to lie, I'll rub your face in it.
Different police departments , deceiver.
You really are a liberal aren’t ya?
It’s amazing, libs like you are completely 100 percent detached from reality.
He was a professional victim, a collector of slights and injustices, and it seems you are too.
By any evidentiary standard, that's hearsay.
So you are OK with the police hunting people without trial? (one look at that pickup, assuming for a moment the police did that, indicates they were primed to kill, and nothing else.)
If ordinary citizens do that, they are decried as a "lynch mob", but for police, who are supposed to uphold the law, there is a different standard?
What happened to "..nor deprive anyone of life, liberty, or property without due process of law...?
Or do you think our Constitution is just a$$-wipe like drone boy in DC?
I refer you back to your post #399:
How long are they required to wait? How many man hours do you require to be wasted?
Silly me I though you were serious when you described it as, quoting again: "man hours do you require to be ?"
The fugitive had 6 days to surrender peacefully, didn't he?
Amazing. Who surrenders when there is a chance of escape? More to the point, who surrenders when, as he correctly predicted, he would be shot first chance any LEO had.
Then what evidence do you have that the POS was still alive? Awfully presumptuous of you, isn't it?
If he were dead, there wouldn't be any point in burning down the building, now would there? (Unless maybe the intent was as a terrorist threat against anyone else tempted to break the Code of Silence? Nahhh...)
Another presumption on your part. How could anyone know the condition of the fugitive?
They couldn't, but they did know the shooting had stopped.
How could anyone besides the bleeder know whose blood it was?
If there was any thought that it wasn't his blood would't that mean they deliberately burned an innocent civilian hostage?
Your mindless allegations are proof of your bleeding heart liberalism.
Hardly.
Wow.
One child molested is one too many. One rape is one too many. One highway fatality is one too many. How many make the national news? Why?
Just look at how the cops dress nowadays.
You want them dressing like Tarzan? This isn't the 1950s. The boys in the hood and barrios are armed, dangerous and ruthless. The prisons and jails are overflowing with human garbage.
It says what you said.
If he did what is said of him, well, that is indefensible.
I'm not defending him.
But we have this little thingy called a Constitution, and when we start tossing that in the fire every time some cops get pissed off, we don't live in a Constitutional Republic any more.
It becomes mob rule with badges and better weapons than ordinary citizens are allowed to have in many jurisdictions. It is only a short step to outright corruption from there.
Either the law applies, or it doesn't. If those sworn to uphold the law can hold it in obvious contempt, don't be surprised when others who are so inclined ignore it as well.
And people wonder why trust for law enforcement has gone in the toilet.
My mistake, that makes it alllllll better.
I never thought I’d see murders of innocent people, who are planning to kill other innocent people, defended on FR.
You numskulls....wake up.
You don’t serve warrants to people in a firefight.
What a crock of BS. If this F comes into my neighborhood, I shoot him instantly. He is dead meat.
Read his Manifesto...He was going after the wives and children of anybody on the LAPD.
F that POS.
Show me one report where they tried.
The mutual support PDs didn’t try to negotiate with the newspaper delivery ladies, they went 50+ rounds straight for the kill. If the guys had even minimal range time we’d be burying both of them.
Ask the surfer how much negotiating they tried in his case.
I haven’t heard of anyone with a bullhorn in Big Bear, no attempted calls just gunshots and firebombs.
You’re physically closer, maybe you heard something? Do share.
