“Cop haters make me just as sick as murderers do! Why dont you put your *ss on the line to protect people? And, yes, I know there are bad cops but there are a whole lot of cops who arent too and some of those arent going home to their families tonight because of creeps like this burned to a crisp (his choice) murderer.”
If the cops executed him purposefully instead of bringing him in to stand trial, IMHO, they are as bad has he.
According to police, Quan was the daughter of a retired LAPD captain who represented Dorner at the Board of Rights hearing that led to his firing, and the killings were carried out in an act of revenge outlined in a lengthy manifesto Dorner posted online blaming Quans father for losing his job.
Dorner is also a suspect in the shooting of a Los Angeles police officer near Interstate 15 and Magnolia Avenue in Corona early today.
The officer suffered a graze wound to the head.
About 20 minutes later, Dorner is believed to have ambushed two Riverside officers while they were stopped at a red light at Magnolia and Arlington avenues, according to Riverside police Lt. Guy Toussaint, adding that the two were on routine patrol and were not searching for Dorner at the time.
One of the officers a 34-year-old, 11-year veteran of the force was killed.
The wounded Riverside officer, who is 27 years old, underwent surgery and is expected to fully recover, Riverside police Chief Sergio Diaz said.

Where was the due process for these people?
Keeping in mind that the press is almost always wrong, I found this interesting ...
Just a few hours after police announced Tuesday that they had fielded more than 1,000 tips with no sign of Dorner, word came that a man matching his description had tied up two people in a Big Bear Lake cabin, stole their car and fled. Authorities didn't immediately give more details on the two people.LAPD protective details in place until Dorner's suspected remains are verified - Associated Press - 13 February 2012Jay Hylton told KABC-TV that they were two of his relatives, a mother and daughter pair of housekeepers, who weren't hurt.
Remember what we did to Noriega in Panama. He was holed up in his palace and we waited him out. Looks like the same thing could have been done here, especially by cutting off his water, gas, and electricity.
I don’t really know, hopefully others will reply to this.
All I can say is the audio seems to very conclusively indicate the fire was intentionally set, part of a plan - *perhaps* the intent was to force him out.
I think it would prudent if the press or someone asked what the plan and intention was and go from there: whether this was a good or necessary plan, etc.

Hehe, dumbass me ... when I first read that, I thought "his" was referring to Dorner. Now I realize it is referring to Jay Hylton. So, nevermind, this isn't that interesting a factoid.
Come out with your hands up or the police are gonna figure out a way to end it - always the way its been. And also common sense.
BTW there is no comparison here to Waco.
I seriously doubt that. Even if they incinerated the cabin, he was free to come out at any time with his hands up. It was his choice to stay in the burning cabin.
I was watching the local coverage as it was unfolding and one of the reporters on scene reported hearing a single gunshot right about the time the fire started. FWIW....it hasn't been confirmed I as far as I know.
I share your feelings here; however, we don't empower the police to determine guilt, assess punishment and carry out sentences. They can be wrong and their power is rightfully limited.
FWIW: on the police radio tape, they also say a shot was fired from inside the cabin. This is just after they report the fire.
Are we sure the charred body wasn’t a newspaper delivery woman, Korean greengrocer or the owner of a Subaru Brat?
I am glad he’s dead and I hope the fire killed him, slowly. It’s unfortunate that he can’t be brought back to life, and fried all over again.
That worthless bastard controlled how this was to end. He could have given up, instead of shooting two more cops, killing one of them.
Yes......
“So cops can execute people as a first recourse. Goody.”
That wasn’t ‘first recourse’. And what would you have the police do to catch him if he didn’t want to be caught and blew his brains out in some innocent person’s cabin? He already tied up a couple of people and stole their car. Then hijacked another car. Do you have a problem with him MURDERING innocent people or is all your sympathy for the murderer?!
Please tell me how YOU would have handled the situation since you know so much about capturing murderers.
“Cop haters make me just as sick as murderers do! “
kcvl, I couldn’t agree with you more.
It’s my first choice if he has already proven he will kill you without hesitation. I’m not wasting time waiting for him to kill me next. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
You must be a cop hater. ;-)
Yeah, they should have surrounded the cabin for a couple days to wait Dorner out, so Dorner could have a chance to maybe kill two or three more of them. /disgusted sarcasm mode
As others have noted, Dorner could have ended this at any time. He chose not to.
No need to burn peeps who don’t shoot back.
