Charred human remains have been found in the burned cabin where police believe fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner was holed up after trading gunfire with law enforcement, authorities said.
If the body is identified to be Dorners, the standoff would end a weeklong manhunt for the ex-LAPD officer and Navy Reserve lieutenant who is believed to be responsible for a string of revenge-fueled shootings following his firing by the Los Angeles Police Department several years ago. Four people have died, allegedly at Dorners hands.

You avoided addressing the question and spewed a load of irrelevant BS. Do people normally fire at law enforcement officers?

That’s why the 6 officers involved in that shooting are on administrative leave — unfortunately probably paid administrative leave.

Sure adds context to this story. He wasn't just sitting in the cabin doing nothing but waiting. He was shooting at the cops outside. Indeed it does. If true.
penelopesire? You say you were listening to the live scanner feeds, were the police on the scene talking about "regular barrages of gunfire" at the time, or is this a creation of the LAPD press room after the fact?

He chose to become a marshmallow rather than come out with his hands up. Do you not see that the police acted as judge, jury and EXECUTIONER?!?!
THAT is NOT the rule of law set up by the United States. I don't know how to make you understand that...

They have thermo-imaging equipment that can penetrate walls. Fair enough.
Please tell me how they aren't sure the body is Dorner's?

Do people normally fire at law enforcement officers? Do police assassinate fugitives? I guess they do now and you are just peachy with that.
Do you recall at the beginning of this thread, in the FIRST post, it was reported that they weren't even sure if it was Doner.

They were dealing with a guy who stayed in a small cabin after repeated firings of basic tear gas. I missed the part where they were using basic tear gas first.
Source please?

So, imagine youre one of those vile prepper people.....alone in your mountain cabin, living the peaceful life...not messing with anyone, and no one messing with you...law-abiding... One day, you have Cops, Drones, news helicopters and God knows what else, shooting, making racket and terrifying you. Do you come out, all meek and mild?I think you left something out between "law-abiding..." and "One day"
To: LadyBuck
Yes. but if you weren’t a Dorner, they wouldn’t be shooting at you in the first place, now would they?

There was one report of gunfire ‘inside’ or from the house. Not sure if it was coming out or not. I will check my twitter feed. I also heard them discussing something by the door and blood splatters in the house, as if someone from the force was already in the house. My assumption is that it was a report from the officers in the armored vehicle after they pulled one of the walls down.

I think you left something out between "law-abiding..." and "One day" OK...
So one day, local prepper gets into a disagreement with one of the nearby towns folk, maybe a deal on surplus whatever went bad, or the preppers daughter rejected the advances of one of the local boys.
Now this young boy goes to his liberal parents and claims that "Sally" told him that her dad was preparing to attack the local police department with homemade bombs and automatic weapons....
And PRESTO! As if on cue, here comes all manner of military looking people with big scary guns and attitudes pounding on your door unannounced. That could get ugly real fast... Ummm... sort of like Waco.
You can't see where that would end in the cops burning down Sally's house?

I repeat, Do people normally fire at law enforcement officers? Is the question beyond your ability to comprehend? The obvious answer to the problem of dealing with violent offenders is take away LEO's weapons to insure justice is always dispensed in a court of law.
We'll figure out how to get them to court later.
