Scalia: State of the Union "has turned into a childish spectacle"
WASHINGTON While his colleagues got ready to go to the Capitol, Justice Antonin Scalia sat on a stage across town and held forth about why, for the 16th consecutive year, he would not be joining them for the State of the Union.

This speech was a real ratings pig...DOWN across the boardon all networks; FOX’s ratings nearly cut in half from last year...ROTF! Judge Scalia wasn’t the only one ignoring the SOTU.

It has been a ‘dog and pony’ show for at least 3 decades.

Wonder how she was able to shoot a white tail doe when they only had licenses for antelope and mule deer.

Indeed...
And Rome was overrun by invaders...
As are we.
Their currency was debased as is ours.
Even tho they were Christian in 350, much of their morality was still depraved in a lot of areas...
There is doom in our future...our near future, I fear....

The closer he approaches dictator status, the longer his public bloviations become.
Before long, he’ll be making five-hour speeches a la Castro.

Thanks for that link,a song sung in English by apparently a Japanese vocalist-never heard it before and not sure what you intended by posting it in this thread, except for the (to me)obvious one. I'd bet on Korean, given the letter-shapes in the title. Here's a Japanese-singing-English song: I'm yours.
Bonus 1: Japanese version of a good English song - Wonderwall.
Bonus 2: Japanese American Utada Hikaru singing Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Bonus 3: An excellent rendition of an English-speaker singing in Japanese rendition of Fireflies.

An intelligent society would have voted his ass out when it had the opportunity to. We are a nation of dolts.
Whereas I agree with your sentiment, we'd still be a nation of dolts had we replaced Obama with a closet liberal like Romney that would have continued growing government under the Republican banner. I actually do *not* think we are a nation of dolts; I think we were denied a viable alternative to an existing catastrophe.

“We are Rome, 350 AD.”
We are worse off. One of the Roman Caesars showed his contempt of government by installing a horse in the Senate. Today, half of our Senate is filled with asses.

IMHO, one of the most childish, dumbest parts of the SOTU, which goes back several presidents, is introducing people from the audience.

An intelligent society would have voted his ass out when it had the opportunity to. We are a nation of dolts. 50.4 percent is not exactly the whole nation. It's about 50-50 dolts and non-dolts.

I believe she shot the WT doe in Virginia....At least that's how I read it.
But it's poorly written...so who knows?

Why watch SOTU when we have the Ow, My Balls! channel? There's a channel that plays only Obama speeches?
