Olympia, WA --(Ammoland.com)- Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights.
One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms.
Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines.
We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.
Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity will no longer be served as customers.

It’s not like there is an oversupply of ammo.
I love this.
WooHoo! It’s a two-player game after all....
It is always rewarding when people of Conscience and Character take a principled stand.
Good for them!
Olympic Arms is within their rights not to serve New Yorkers. And they’re correct in saying that the guvmint of NY State is NOT within its rights to pass such freedom-restricting laws.
Excellent, BUT — Olympic needs to extend the moratorium to the federal gubmint. In fact, the Feds should have been named first.
BTW, my antivirus (webroot) is kicking up a warning on the links at the end of the article (for contacting other gun manufacturers), claiming they are infected with a known threat.
Only if new or similar laws are passed on the federal level..
Smith and Wesson contact info here:
NOAA really needed all of those hollow point rounds.. by golly, the next time they say evacuate they mean it. What did I read, DHS has enough ammo to shoot every American five times? Even if it is only enough to shoot every American twice, we should be pissed. Our Killer President seems a bit blood thirsty.
So... what happens if companies refused to sell weapons and ammo to the cops??
I was hoping other manufacturers would take Ronnie Barrett’s example, and apply it themselves.
For anyone who doesn’t know, Ronnie Barrett (of Barrett .50 fame) wrote a letter to the state of CA when they banned his rifle for sale to the public. It seems that more than a few had been sold to law enforcement, and Ronnie said “no more!” In addition to that, he stated flat out that he will offer no repair or other services to the state of CA, nor any law enforcement agencies, first responders, etc... Not even warranty work!
Now it’s important to make sure that OA knows how much we appreciate their act!
Mark
Gun manufacturers have backbone.
Most business are PhonyCon Liberal today ......they would never take such a stand. Heck, I bet soon we will have some bedwetter Liberal Business Socialist Free Trader Communist Globalist tell us how wrong this gun maker is
I like the stand Olympic is taking
So... what happens if companies refused to sell weapons and ammo to the cops??
I applaud Olympic, but would be unsurprised if they had nearly zero sales to NY law enforcement agencies in recent years.
You disarm us? We disarm you! We The People are the sovereigns.
All gun and ammo manufacturers should stop selling to state and federal government purchasers that participate in attacking gun rights until the assault on the 2nd A ceases. I would be fairly safe in saying that the guns not sold to LE and governments would be gobbled up by average law abiding people.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
