Darn, I missed it. Hope Ted whacked him good.

Mini-MeCain will follow whatever MeCain does.
The man has never had an original thought since the Clinton impeachment hearings.

>We can’t defeat any of Obama’s nominees because we failed to win back the Senate in 2010/2012.
Two easy wins were victims of legitimate rape.

Go ahead, confirm the SOB.
The quicker we abandon Israel, the sooner this “grand experiment” can be over and done with.
Come, Lord Jesus.

No qualifications whatsover to be Sec of Defense and these worthless parasites, both democrats and republicans will vote to put him in charge of the largest government agency in the world., in charge of the nation’s military. He has never sat on the Armed Services Committee or any other type of military committee. Anyone that confirms him after hearing him try and speak last week needs to be voted out of office. Making him Sec of Defense is a joke. Any homeless person sleeping under a bridge has as much experience as Hagel does.......which is none.
His only “qualification” is supporting the african king for president and his bashing of GW Bush.

Yup, after 30 years or so of being in Washington DC the main brain stem turns to jello.
BTW, do you think it is the water?

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious.
But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to be feared."

Two easy wins were victims of legitimate rape.Amazing isn't it. Conservatives need to create some kind of Candidate School where our politicians go to learn how to talk like a normal human beings and not say offensive stuff about rape. Good grief, when it comes to subjects like that just stick to the damn script.

I vaguely remember a guy named John Bolton who Pres Bush tried to appoint as UN Ambassador. I guess only some elections have consequences.

Raise your hand if you really thought a minority of the minority party in the Senate was really going to be able to stop this.
Obama’s cabinet goes from being dumb to being dumber...and more dangerous.

Like I’d listen to some chatter-head on the squawk box; it’s easy enough to see to get my blood boiling myself. I moved out of the State of my birth (MD) shortly after my 22nd year. If it is a 30 yr. threshold, I’m glad I made it.
Unfortunately, IMHO, We the People have allowed the swamp to become a ‘hive of villainy and corruption’, starting ~100 years ago already. I trust no one and nothing coming from inside the cesspool. Just wait ‘til ‘14 starts to roll around and the ‘think tanks’ and 507 and ...start begging with open hand, as if they care the downfall before them.
We, I am afraid to say (again, IMHO), have seen the best of America already. We are watching the accelerated fall of the Republic. Let the bread and circuses continue!
To: freedumb2003
And what made anyone think this would be different? Especially after the (what was it) 3 against traitor Kerry as SoS?
These assholes would be confirming Castro if dumbo nominated him to any cabinet position.
To: i_robot73
If it is indeed true that all the GOP committee Senators voted against Hagel's progressing to the full Senate confirmation hearings, then this is a good thing.
The committee GOP'ers were outnumbered, plain and simple, with no recourse to "block", "put a hold" or "filibuster" the nomination.
With-holding (sic) judgement until we see what the full Senate votes here...IMHO, there's a good chance Hagel will get thus far and no further, but we'll have to wait and see if any take the opportunity...

MeCain taking a strong stand against!
You mean McCain is playing to the cameras. He'll fold when it comes time to vote. He always does.
