A CNN anchor has asked on live television whether a meteor hurtling past Earth might have been caused by global warming.
Deborah Feyeric made the faux pas when she transitioned from a discussion about global warming and the blizzard that struck to east coast into a a segment about Asteroid 2012 DA14 - which is projected to pass just 17,200 miles from Earth on Friday.
'We want to bring in our science guy, Bill Nye, and talk about something else thats falling from the sky, and that is an asteroid,' Feyerick says. 'Whats coming our way? Is this the effect of, perhaps, global warming? Or is this just some meteoric occasion?'
Nye, who has an engineering degree from Cornell University, tries to cut Feyerick off before she even finishes asking the question.
'No, no, no,' he says.
For a moment, he fumbles to answer the ridiculous question.

and of course there must be a sacrifice.
SUV’s personal transportation, lawn mowers, barbecue grills, et cetera. (note: voting Republican does not cause global warming or climate change)
We KNOW reporters have low IQ’s...the story here is that people take COMEDIAN Bill ‘Speed Walker’ Nye as a science consultant. Watch the clip at post #15...it’s really pretty funny.
My favorite was the skit about peoples brains leaking out of the holes in the back of our head.
Almost Live was a VERY funny show.
About 7,453 years, five months, and eleven days ago, a mouse farted in the Sahara Desert, and now I have a damned hangnail today!
Delivered a cow? Was that door-to-door sales, where she had to close the deal herself, or did she simply deliver it like UPS?
Inquiring minds want to know. What a way to work your way through college ....
Does anyone ever catch up to these news people in the hallway and inform them of their errors?
“She speaks French and once delivered a cow while on assignment”
Gee, If that doesn’t qualify a person for a Journalism award there is no justice. /s/
What would we do without the sun? Thats a thought for everyone. Blazing hot on all sides round. Burning on, until its gone.
Another clueless mouthpiece for Comedy News Network displays her total lack of basic knowledge. CNN is Exhibit A in the dumbing down of America.
CNN anchor suggests meteor hurtling toward Earth could be a result of global warming

Actually the giant vacuum between her ears is sucking the meteor towards earth.
Agreed. The sketch above with COMEDIAN Bill Nye as 'Speed Walker' is hysterical...the theme from the opening of 'Superman III' playing as Nye searches the stadium for the bomb...the Michael Keaton parody at the two-minute mark: 'Who are you???"..."I'm Speed Walker" as he pitches the mad bomber off the roof of the Kingdome. ROTFLMAO!
The REAL story here is that someone at CNN (not Comedy Central, CNN) 'green lit' this interview in the FIRST place. Brain-dead journalist interviews comedian with delusions of grandeur about asteroids and global warming? CNN should issue an on-air apology.
Another skull full of mush that’s turned to cottage cheese.
Deborah’s been playing in the CNN row boat again.
Bil Nye “the Science Guy” hasn’t worked in science or engineering for well over 20 years.
He has been an entertainer almost twice as long as he was an engineer. As best as I can tell, he has a job because he wears a bow tie and his last name rhymes with “Guy”.
Too bad Bill Nye “the Useful Liberal Idiot Guy” isn’t as catchy.
Global warming also caused the Big Bang.
Global warming if it were happening is a godsend.....want a night mare?....can you say ice age???
VERY! And at a time when SNL was its worst (and hasn’t changed since).
Almost Live should have gone national. ‘Loved the Greatful Dead Travel Agency- “The thrill of eating unliscensed food.”; & “Worst Girlfiend in the World.”
