The women were victims of 'a tragic misinterpretation' by officers working under 'incredible tension,' LAPD Chief Charlie Beck says.

at least seven officers opened fire. On Friday, the street was pockmarked with bullet holes in cars, trees, garage doors and roofs

You pull the trigger, you're responsible for what happens to each and every bullet.
These are the folks that the gun grabbers say are the only ones who are 'well trained' enough to be armed.
Humblegunner's hat can shoot better than LA's finest.
Cops pissing down leg in panic shoot paper boy.
What a headline.
I just can’t wait till they come snoot to snoot with a real bad guy.
Police seeking Dorner opened fire in a second case of mistaken identity
Torrance police say the man was driving a pickup resembling the fugitive's. The incident happened just after the LAPD fired on women delivering newspapers nearby.
This one was a shorter skinny (by about 100 lbs) white guy mistaken for the 6 foot 270 pound black guy.
What a bunch of Keystone Cops. Fortunately after ramming his truck, the Gang that Can't Shoot Straight missed him. And to make matters even more commical, they were responding to calls of "shots fired", from the other police shooting at the newspaper delivery ladies. They were all police shots of course.
Is there any doubt that these keystone kops would obey any gov’t edict to fire upon citizens? The willingness to wantonly use deadly force without any regard for due process or inconcent bystanders tells you everything you need to know about the existence of govt stooges’ willingness to use violence against the populace.
Make that a paper lady. These were women, and the younger one, was no spring chicken. (lot younger than this Old Cat though)
Nope, but there are way more of us than of them, and we are much better shots, and often have longer range/more powerful guns too.
Ahhh...
Now I get it.
For a minute I thought they were unprofessional ***holes.
I was really hoping that video of the 2 cops exchanging fire across the hood of a car with a suspect and NOT HITTING HIM, some years back was an aberration.
Unfortunately, that incident, the one in NYC where the cops managed to only graze the suspect but nail 7 or 8 bystanders, this, and others seem to be the norm.
How is it that there are so many people in the government that have sharp objects and live ammo who should be on the short bus?
I understand this is L.A., but aren’t the rules of engagement supposed to be tighter than over in the sandbox?
Those women are lucky to be alive.
But geez. There are over 50 rds in the back of their vehicle alone, and only one of them was hit twice, with non-critical wounds?
At that rate, some 9 year old with a super soaker will take out the whole department in a fight.
You do realize this is a horrific event.
“Something must be done now”!!
Ban the Coppers!
I wonder how many of these upright servants could pass a piss test.
In retrospect, it was pretty reckless to be driving a blue truck that morning.
It’s pretty reckless to live in Kaleefooorniya.
It’s pretty reckless to live in Kaleefooorniya.
Grotesquely unprofessional.
No wonder these *sshats need to get dressed up in their SWAT gear to break down Granny’s door.
Send ‘em all back to Police Academy I where they came from.
Are you serious Jim?
These guys have the best stuff in town.
For some reason the police don’t want the ex-cop to talk. Reminds me of the movies.
“We would like to point out that no dogs were harmed in this cluster-
fuuuudge.” Your LAPD public relations office
PS
Regardless of the LAPD’s BS, Dornan is a cold blooded murderer that must be stopped.
Somehow LA's finest missed the cues of the newspapers flying out of the truck's windows and onto the driveways every time the truck stopped.
