The willingness to wantonly use deadly force without any regard for due process or inconcent bystanders tells you everything you need to know about the existence of govt stooges’ willingness to use violence against the populace.
Nope, but there are way more of us than of them, and we are much better shots, and often have longer range/more powerful guns too.

It is called protecting your own.
When a citizen is under threat from an armed criminal, they call out the SWAT TEAM, bring in the tanks and gas grenades and make sure no “civil servant” gets injured and if the citizen dies, it is “Oh well, stuff happens”
When a member of their own is under threat, it is shoot first, and ask questions later. And if a few civilians become “collateral damage” well at least no cops got injured.
No doubt at all that they will fire on citizens in CWII or any other event of civilian unrest.
They are whores for their benefits, swagger and pensions. Faced with a choice of honor or money and self comfort... guess what? They will go with money and self comfort.
Moral courage. The attribute most desirable and most absent in most men.
I gotta tell ya, if I was withing a thousand yards of one of these morons, I'd probably be a pretty incontinent bystander myself! ;)
