As the vehicle approached the house, officers opened fire, unloading a barrage of bullets into the back of the truck. When the shooting stopped, they quickly realized their mistake. The truck was not a Nissan Titan, but a Toyota Tacoma. The color wasn't gray, but aqua blue. And it wasn't Dorner inside the truck, but a woman and her mother delivering copies of the Los Angeles Times.

And the gun grabbers say that only the police and military should have firearms. Just wow.

-- They, unlike Dornan did not set out to kill or maim with malice of forethought ... --

Not to equate them with Dornan, but these cops DID set out to kill the occupant of the truck (they believed it was Dornan), with malice aforethought.

Both Dornan and they find their malice is justified, both they and Dornan sought to kill their target.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck outlined the most detailed account yet of how the shooting unfolded. Margie Carranza, 47, and her mother, Emma Hernandez, 71, were the victims of "a tragic misinterpretation" by officers working under "incredible tension," he said.

Give me a break. Even in CA this is insane.

Well I’ve never given serious consideration to Toyota trucks. Might have to rethink that.

Not the same picture. The first one shows the evidence markers on the paving, most likely fired brass locations. Note that the highest one is marked 54, apparent minimum number of rounds shot.

The second one, taken later, show markers on the dark glass to identify bullet holes and increase contrast for better evidentiary photography. All part of the work flow. That truck was most likely stand there all day while the crime techs swarmed the area.

Is the district attorney going to make that argument in front of a jury? “Oh by the way no matter what you award the state can’t afford it.”
I don’t see that going over so well.

Apparently sprayed the surrounding trees and residences too...noting the homeowner in the article who counted 5 bullet holes in the entryway to his home.

Lucky that a child or anyone else wasn’t killed in their beds or getting a dose of lead with their morning coffee.

This shooting technique is called “spraying and praying”, the same pattern as gang members use with callous indifference in drive-by shootings. It’s use by LEOs shows more than ineptness, with zero warning on innocent civilians in a residential neighborhood it is unconscionable.

This entire fiasco has been highly illustrative. I no longer fear having to take on law enforcement in a SHTF scenario. They’re obviously easily cowed.

“Private citizens did this, even in self defense with proper “target identification”, and they’d be in jail”

‘Sounds like a “reverse Zimmerman case” to me.

Dormer is a bad guy. He will be hunted down and killed. I think that is pretty clear.

The LAPD cops are nervous Nellie clowns. This is not a zero sum game. You can hate and ridicule them both.

The Police, in general, neither serve nor do they protect.

So I guess the question here is what did these two women do that incited the shooting? If the pigs, instead, have orders to shoot to kill, then there is a MUCH BIGGER problem with the LAPD than even Dorner’s cluing us into.

Two different photos taken from slightly different angles, with slightly different sun angles. The second image also has little square tags that seem to be marking most of the bullet holes other than the ones on the right rear window. These tags identify some bullet holes that are not clearly visible in the first image, the ones with the officers walking behind the truck.

“Evidence must be presented in a court of law.”

“Dorner by his own admission has declared intent of murder in his Manifesto and folks are shying away from that.”

But you seem to accept as “evidence”, something on the internet that could have been posted by some 14 year old kid in Queens NY. For good reason people are shying away from that...

It’s far better for the cops to injure or kill a thousand innocent persons than to let even a single cop get injured/s
