‘Do you know they still had “rain” as current while we were watching the blizzard before our eyes? They finally came out and stated” some people are reporting snow in their area”.’

Ever wonder why the weather people on tv are all so good looking(ok, so you got me at Al Roker)? It is to distract us the sheeple from the fact that the weather forecasts are never precise.

For this storm, Nemo(boy, I like saying that word), The weather people saw a mass of cold air moving eastward with a mass of wet air moving up the coast. OOOOhhhhh, we are going to get some snow. At that point, any estimates about start times, total snow amounts or the amount of money Willard Scott spent on toupees were just guesses. There is no precise scientific way to arrive at those answers.

The eye candy in the studios should be a reminder to everyone that it is all a guess of what is going to happen.

In winter, bad weather should always be anticipated. Taking a trip, research the trip route for places where you can pull off and wait out a bad storm. As wiser Freepers have pointed out on this thread, never drive anywhere in winter without the proper supplies in your vehicle. Stay home and enjoy the company of family and friends if the forecasts are dire.

Ok enough of that. Got to try to get out of this snow bank.
Almost out of Listerine and the stores are going to close soon.

Very true. We always joke about knowing more than the weather peeps!
