Does this make you feel safe?
6 heavily armed officers of the state - overpaid, and awaiting fat pensions - circle and harass a sweet lady out in the desert collecting rocks.
The use of a $5-8million helicopter that costs about $2000 per hour to fly, the six overpaid donut munchers inside and the illegal search of an innocent, harmless lady out collecting rocks is a travesty of justice and the American way.
What have they done to our country? Do you feel safe now?
I don’t understand why a copter pilot would park and get out to question someone. There may have been two cops in the copter but that’s still strange
Don’t they stay in the air and moniter others to the scene?
I would like to hear his side
Gee, that might look like these patrols are a big waste of money, & that would risk several people's jobs - the pilot & ground crew, at the least. Plus, it's probably safer flying in a helo that patrolling the mean streets, & a lot more fun.
As good citizens, it is our duty to do more rock hunting in the desert. Just to spice up the daily report, wear a hoodie & carry a black squirt gun.
This story would be funny if it wasn't so depressing.
It is about 150 miles north of the Mexican Border. The officer was with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's office.
The land, I believe, is open range.
I can't think of a single reason why they would have used a helicopter to basically harass this lady. She obviously posed no danger to anyone, because the officer walked up to her alone and without any weapon drawn.
I can say this, however, his patting her down for a weapon without even a reasonable suspicion that she had or was about to commit a crime and against her permission was a criminal assault and battery.
He had no fear of her having a weapon or he would never have approached her in the middle of the desert alone and on foot.
Cops in cars might be a couple hours away and that would be taking them away from whatever they’re doing elsewhere. The chopper is on the scene so it’s better time and moneywise to land and question right then.
“I’ll betcha that helicopter is fully equipped with the latest FLIR technology and every kind of radar and contraption they need to hunt humans.”
An 870 with 7 slugs would have turned the helicopter and its inhabitants into a smoldering grease spot. The harassers enjoy peace right now during their petty torments, if that changes for any reason, they’ll experience the opposite of peace and limits to their ability to move freely will be imposed upon them.
I can see it coming ever more quickly.
I thought it was fine until he decided to search her. They’re looking for someone. She gives name and date of birth. She checks out. She ain’t who he’s looking for. Should have just said “thanks have a nice day”. Instead he looks for weapons because of an old prior.
” Could he be checking out people that are helping the rogue cop?”
The video pre-dates the rogue cop. I’m glad rifling through you possessions and patting down your body is considered politee and professional in you view.
Next time, just say, Baaaaaaahhhhh, baaaaaaaahhhhh, baaaahhhhhhhh, like a good sheep.
The area seems to be near Interstate 15, just east of Cajon Pass, in San Bernardino County, Calif.
Freeway was right there. I disagree but I would still like to hear his story.
I bet there are tons of rules and regs about landing that copter to question suspects and it is only done in an emergency.
That cop killer would love to get his hands on that human hunting/killing copter

What the hell is the matter with our police today? In recent months, there have been dozens of stories of police shooting pet dogs. Meanwhile, Christopher Dorner makes monkeys out of police, and they respond by shooting innocent people. And now this.
Precisely correct.
We fought against this for quite a few years. It was finally passed by being bundled into an Omnibus environMENTAList bill.
* What do you expect these cops to put on their daily report, Saw nothing, did nothing?*
Got to do something to fill up all those years between now and that sweet, sweet retirement.
They had to make sure she wasn't a cartel member or human smuggler before they landed. They wouldn't want to confront anyone who might actually be a criminal. It could be dangerous.
Maybe he's looking for a promotion to TSA. But seriously, folks need to start asking more questions before they submit to these civil rights violations. Like, "Am I being detained?" "What crime am I being accused of?""Are you pressing charges against me and what for?" "You're going to do what you're going to do, but first I'll need your Name and Badge number."

That is why the border needs to be secured- at the border. Border Patrol and other authorities need to patrol the actual border. I have been complaining for many years about the BP not operating on the actual border. In recent months there has been more enforcement on the border itself, I hope that becomes SOP.
Authorities need to secure the actual border. For many years Border Patrol and others have been concentrating efforts away from the actual border, usually on major roads- state highways, freeways. These roads can be as far as 50+ miles from the actual border. Enforcement should be on the actual border, then citizens that are clearly inside the US would not need to be harassed.
