What a surprise, an 1146 page report from Obama's Commerce Dept that fits right in with his global warming tax increases and energy spending policies.

I call BULLZHIT.

Tell me why the grass in my southern PA valley is being replaced by moss and lichen! My own microclimate has gone from temperate to taiga over the past two decades.

We can predict now that we have reversed an Ice Age that would have occurred within the next 1,500 years? Vanity, thy name is Global Warming scientist/advocate.

So, the arrogance of Obama has now surpassed that of King Canute.

Wasn’t Obama supposed to “heal the planet” and lower sea levels in his first term?

Is releasing this article on the day Snowpocalypse hits the east coast considered a manifestation of the Gore Effect?

These scientists and political hacks seem not to know the difference between a hockey stick and a big piece of ice.

Just damn.

Now I have to cancel my mammoth hunt.

Well might as well look on the bright side.

Now I can plan a dinosaur hunt.

"temperature records from about 1940 to 1970 show a slight global cooling trend"

This is impossible because greenhouse gas emissions were skyrocketing at the time.

The ice age was not exactly a climatic event. It was caused by the hot oceans after the Genesis judgment/flood coupled with constant volcanic eruptions filling the sky with dust, which blocked much of the sun’s heat.

Not likely to ever happen again.

Sometimes you read something so totally bereft of logic that you can’t even comment on it.
So.....

Gallileo must be turning over in his grave......sunspots....the sun is on strike....if the sun doesn’t produce a good crop of sunspots by the middle of the next 11 year cycle....prepare for at best another 400 year long mini ice age.

In other news, the National Climate Assessment and Development Advisory Committee also issued a report calling for an end to the use of water for irrigating crops. “Water is for toilets” the commission stated, suggesting that farmers switch to Brawndo. “It’s got what plants crave” the report concluded.

appointed by the Obama administration to produce a report on climate change says that if Earth’s climate were still “primarily controlled by natural factors”—rather than by man-made global warming—then the next ice age would occur within the next 1,500 years.

Without natural forces (for example, the sun) the Earth's temperature would be somewhere close to absolute zero so the climate is primarily controlled by natural factors with an arguably small incremental effect caused by human actions.

But now, because of humans, the committee says, the next ice age has been "delayed indefinitely."

How can you say it has been delayed indefinitely when the arrival time is indefinite. It's like saying a bus on a Mexican route is delayed indefinitely when the arrival time is listed as manyaña to begin with.

Also, we are currently in an ice age since there is ice on the polar caps. However we are in an interglacial period because the ice is restricted to the poles. If we weren't in an ice age Greenland and Antartica would be largely ice free except for their mountain ice caps.

Yeah, right. Where I grew up in Michigan was under a half a mile of ice during the last geological epoch. To say that it won’t happen again is akin to standing in front of a speeding freight train and ordering it to stop by holding your hand up. Just isn’t going to happen. Human beings have no significant control over long term weather patterns on this planet. There’s simply not enough energy sources available to us on this planet to make a difference. Virtually all of the energy we consume is in the form of concentrated sunshine, and an insignifcant portion at that.
