Well, it’s their choice how to pay for the dog. It’s your choice on whether or not to help them. Don’t like it? Don’t donate. It’s really as simple as that.
BTW, I know there is no shortage of people in need. Like you mentioned, there are battered women, hungry children, etc. You’re free to donate as much as you want to whoever you want or donate nothing at all. So what if the media is trolling for victims. If you own a media company, you can tell it what charities you want publicized.
I don’t know why the concepts of voluntary charity and the right of people to do what they want with their private property are so radical.

That is okay, most thinking people know what I mean. Hopefully someday you’ll see that this kind of enabling creates a VICTIM mentality...and that many of these “victims” are charlatans.
