The anti radical Islam bias can go overboard.
It seems that while someone here, State Department, CIA, DOD...... was involved in moving surplus arms to Syria, the other end of the pipeline was Turkey.
That is, the Turkey/GCC coalition would disperse the arms to those units deemed most desirable and not the radical yahoos founded for the specific purpose of bringing them down. It is also worthwhile to note that those units include Special Forces advisors provided by the coalition
I think what you have suggested was probably the aim of the overt US attempt to provide arms, but I think that Obama probably didn’t want the arms going to those people (who may actually have been some “rebels” who simply didn’t like Bashir but weren’t AQ).
Obama always seems to want to go against professional advice and do his own loopy thing, and I think he believes that, deep down inside, AQ are really the good guys. They’re just misunderstood...
Someone? EVERYONE of them, who were serving the Executive who is a tool of the islamofascists. This is not said lightly. Clinton, Panetta, Petraeus, and obamaumao all were in accord. This is one amateur planted whitewash (blackwash?) for only the dumbest to swallow. Absolute crap.
Erdogan of Turkey is ONE with the Brotherhood and Morsi in Egypt. He dreams of being another Ataturk at the head of the caliphate (Saudis excepted). Sure, trust the Turks our “nato” buddies in dhimmitude.
It is more proper to characterize the so called specop “expert advisors” provided by the compromised “coalition” as being out of the loop patsies— because clearly, seasoned Libyan jihadists were shipped to Syria via Turkey along with the heavy weapons. Wonder who vetted those?
One wonders just how much more self-delusion can be bought by planted articles like this in the WSJ, cultivating yet another crop of dumbass dhimmis to defend the “good” islamics. There aren’t any, no matter how PC and good one tries to prove. One more link in the chain of useful idiots to the caliphate
