The Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network is delighted to announce that Moe & Sana Maraachli will receive the 2013 Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Award at the first Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network Award Gala on Friday, April 5, in Philadelphia.
In 2011, an international controversy erupted over Joseph Maraachli (Baby Joseph) after Canadian physicians refused to perform a tracheotomy, calling the procedure invasive and futile. This would have ultimately led to Joseph’s imposed death.
The Maraachlis courageously fought to have Joseph, who was diagnosed with a neurologic disorder called Leigh’s disease, transferred to the United States, contending that a tracheotomy would extend his life and allow him to die at home. After several months and efforts by hundreds of thousands of supporters, Joseph was transferred to a Catholic hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where his parents secured the procedure to extend his life for several months, until he died on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at home....

It would be nice to see Sarah use the opportunity to smack down the former Florida governor who got stared down by a freaking county probate judge and did nothing as the world watched the excruciating month-long murder by starvation of a disabled woman, but I suspect she has too much class to do what I would do.
And need I add that income and revenues are down at Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. Their loss of Sarah Palin -- remember it was she chose to opt out, she was not fired -- is already hurting their bottom line.

Take Sarah Palin for example. Rove never had any use for her. Never had any kind words for her. Why not? She was the most popular and beloved and yet he viewed her in the same frame as the lamestream. Never stood up for her. Never came to her rescue.
Well, he never came to President Bush's rescue either. The great architect with the white board stands for nothing. Not God, not our Constitution, nothing. He doesn't win elections either. Not since Bush's in 2004.
