Burning his truck is a sure fire way to pinpoint his location and time. Now they know he was there within a few minutes. unless he had another car there, he probably stole another one.
Yeah, I’m thinking he could have had another vehicle. He could have parked his truck there a while ago, and used a timed pyrotechnic device to set the fire to throw the cops off on goose chases.
He certainly has had time to plan his diversions and evasions.

My guess is that the burning truck is a decoy, and he rode out of there on a motorcycle that he carried up there in the truck.
