she is asking about cyber-warriors, national guard, etc.
Panetta will be GONE, you idiot! This is our last chance to nail the president of the U.S. as a liar in chief and you are playing games.
Asking them now what they would advise for next administration, blah, blah, blah.

Yep. I can identify.
I just saw your thread at 11:45am and started DVRing with Ayotte’s questions, so I don’t know what I missed. I will look for a C-SPAN repeat tonight.
Ayotte asked Panetta a question in relation to a timeline. Panetta ignored any specifics about time, and Ayotte never redirected him to answer with specifics about the timeline.
And she is one of the good ones who has been focused on Benghazi.

Graham making both Dempsey and Panetta squirm.
Comes out that NO assets were deployed before the attack concluded , for the whole seven hours.
Graham has more questions in round two.
Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire up and kissing ass, as all Dems do.
Cover,cover,cover.

My BP is so high that I am darn near ready to go off the grid. No news and no FR. Haven’t penned and OPUS just yet, but my health and sanity might just require it.

panetta-speaks-to-senate-panel-on-benghazi-attack
Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta told Congress on Thursday that it would take two to three years to add the 35 new Marine security guard detachments that the United States plans to deploy to improve the security of American diplomatic compounds abroad.
We are working with State now to identify specific locations for the new detachments CIA Director Leon Panetta said referring to the State Department in prepared remarks at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on the Sep. 11 attack on an American compound in Benghazi, Libya, which led to the deaths of J. Christopher Stevens, the American ambassador, and three other Americans.
The Marines have guard units at 152 diplomatic compounds, but did not have one in Benghazi when the assault occurred.
Mr. Panetta said that the role of the Marines detachments would be expanded beyond protecting classified information at the compounds.
Why did Valerie Jarrett need to have six (6) armed Secret Service agents on her Cape Cod vacation?
This could include expanded use of
nonlethal weapons, and additional training and equipment, to support the Embassy Regional Security Officer's response options when host nation security force capabilities are at risk of being overwhelmed Mr. Panetta said.
Mr. Panetta said that the Pentagon was not able to respond more quickly to the Benghazi episode because it had not received an intelligence alert about an impending attack.
The Department of Defense was prepared for a wide range of contingencies, but unfortunately there were no specific indications of an imminent attack on U.S. facilities in Benghazi Mr. Panetta told the committee.
Without
adequate warning, there was not enough time given the speed of the attack for armed military assets to respond.
- HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FDR TO BOMB JAPAN?
THE DOLITTLE RAID WAS ONLY FOUR (4) MONTHS AFTER JAPAN ATTACKED PEARL HARBOR!
When the attack began, the Pentagon had no forces that could be rapidly sent to Benghazi or to protect diplomatic outposts in Tunisia, Egypt or Algeria that might also have come under assault on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

I was only listening at the time, didn’t see who was responding to a question, but I heard a peculiar hesitation before the phrase “armed groups” with regard to the conflict in Mali.
So, that means they’re muslims, doesn’t it?

Noticed during McCain’s questioning that General Dempsey got so nervous that he pulled a Captain Queeg and rolled up a piece of paper and started playing with it. He must have forgotten to bring marbles with him.

Top Defense Chiefs to Testify on U.S. Consulate Attack in LibyaThat was not a US Consulate. Consulates and Embassies must, by international law, openly fly their national flag and their existence made public. What was attacked in Benghazi was a secret CIA base being used to funnel captured Libyan arms to Al Qaeda death squads in Syria. The Government and Corporate Media calling that base a consulate is a psyop like constantly referring to the Branch Davidian Church in Waco as a "compound" and their storm shelter as a "bunker".
To: exit82
Lee did not go in for the kill.
Dempsey got away with saying that as soon as the attack started, forces “were put in motion”.
He told Graham NO forces were deployed, not one person or plane moved until the attack was over.
Kaine of VA up now. Talking about what a shame Panetta was forced to not deploy a carrier group due to budget cuts.
Whatta tool!

No time. I guess that is the reason they fired a General and an Admiral for getting ready to send help.
Something doesn’t jibe here.
