I find Chris Cillizza depressing...
As MSMers go, I find Cillizza among the fairer ones. But why is he depressed by a decline in Americans’ trust in government? Ping to Today show list.
The only time a government is trusted, is when it does what a person wants it to.
Our trust in it is plummeting, yet we keep asking it to do more and more. That indeed is depressing.
How in the hell can you trust a government that has proven inself to be as corrupt as this one. Ignoring the constitution is only one of the instances. How many times do we have to be lied to before they deserve to be thrown out or better yet prosecuted.
Our nation was founded with a distrust in government. The founders and early figures have a litany of quotes why. This is why America succeeded until today. We have to re-teach America why government is not the solution to any problem.
You lie to the government, you go to prison.
Government lies to the people and that’s politics.
Why should I trust a government that doesn’t trust it’s citizens.
** SPIT **
Anyone with a negative view of the government is in touch with reality. People who think we should revere the government are just plain stupid, and are the problem.
ZirconEncrustedTweezers finds decline in American government’s trustworthiness depressing...
“That’s a shame” Jerry Seinfeld.
Loving one's country is patriotic, trusting one's government is just plain stupid.
Why would someone expect the people to trust government when the government does not trust government. Why does the Constitution create three branches of government? Why does the government create "checks and balances"? Do you really think they trust?
I don’t trust that guy.
Hey Chris,
They didn’t poll me, but I thought I’d add my input:
Congress is slime.
The president is excrement.
The MSM are maggots.
Whew, now that that’s off my mind, I’ll waltz over to the Obamatorium and take a giant, bodacious Obama.
