According to the London Times, the arch Conservatives at World Net Daily finally got one right. On Friday, WND reported the destruction of Irans top secret uranium enrichment facility at the Fordow nuclear installation. Fordow, buried deep under ground, is reported to have completely collapsed in a massive explosion, trapping 200 workers in the ruins of the facility.
WND published a report on the explosion written by a former Iranian Revolutionary Guard officer and CIA agent named Reza Kahlili, An author of several alarmist books and dozens of articles, Kahlili claims Iran intends to bring about a nuclear apocalypse in order to create an Islamic paradise on earth. For months now, critics have ridiculed his writings and claimed that WND is not a reliable source for news.
However on Monday, reports began to circulate in the mainstream media that there might be something to the story. Finally the London Times published an article confirming the story, citing Israeli intelligence officials in Tel Aviv, who discussed the story with the British newspaper.
An explosion is believed to have damaged Irans Fordow nuclear facility, which is being used to enrich uranium, Israeli intelligence officials have told The Times. Sources in Tel Aviv said yesterday that they thought the explosion happened last week. The Israeli Government is investigating reports that it led to extensive structural damage and 200 workers had been trapped inside.

The headline is so misleading. Nothing has been confirmed. The London Times has NOT confirmed it.
Perhaps, it's underground news?

Perhaps the reason Ahmadinejad was talking about being the first Iranian astronaut is because the mullahs hold him responsible for the explosion at the secret Qom nuke plant and he really wants to get out of town.

From the damage it looks like the iranians got a late christmas present delivered from about 30,000 feet.
"From the damage?"
There is no damage. Hence no need for an explanation of the cause of something that didn't happen.

No way, our very own fake experts said the whole thing was 'shopped. Oh, and the fact that they agreed with the White House makes it even less likely to be true.

Maybe they smuggled a few hundred pounds of disguised explosive in and detonated it at an opportune time/place to cause a some mass casualty or secondary detonation(s). Do a lot of damage and contamination without blowing the roof off...

"It seems to me that something of such magnitude underground would have been detected seismically if it was that powerful. Maybe some Freeper with knowledge of whether or not this should/could have been a registered seismic event could explain why or why not." I posted one possible answer to your seismology question on the image analysis thread. I'll see if I can find it...
AH! Here 'tis:

Plus, I might add, it would probably be considerably lower in amplitude than the Richter 4+ quakes that are commonly posted on "earthquake" sites...
One would have to examine the actual seismic data from nearby seismometers to find such an event -- and, even then, it could be masked by small remnants of seismic activity somewhere else in the world.

It’s possible that they were machining the explosives
for a bomb and were careless.
