This fact is lost on liberals.
That, in a nutshell, is the liberal view. They don't want to "risk" sitting down with people opposing viewpoints and listening to them. If they did, they might actually realize how extreme they are.

There is another risk for leftists: their leftist acquaintences and friends may shun them for breathing air that an ideological conservative has shared.
Leftists are very narrow people.
Yep. For a man that the left thinks ‘hates’ gay people, it was a remarkable thing for him to reach out to a gay leader like that and listen to him. If you notice there is a lot said about the Christian listening to the gay leader while neither side changed or could change their views. Interesting.
No, he hasn't. He might imagine he has, but he really hasn't.
And unfortunately many Christians as well.
Homosexual activists aren’t Satan, they’ve just chosen to promote and practice evil. They can choose not to any time they want.
PS I run the homosexual agenda ping list and I don’t believe in Satan... but I do believe in evil. And the homosexual agenda is evil.
“It’th a sthcandle, it’th an outrage.....”.
There is NOTHING wrong with being friends with homosexuals.
We are supposed to love the sinner, but hate the sin. We cannot and must not endorse the life behavior of homosexuality. Same with alcoholism. Same with adultery...
Jesus forgave and then warned “Go and sin no more”...
I work with homosexuals, some are hard working and industrious and PRIVATE about their behavior. Others are lazy clowns and some FLAUNT their lifestyle....
People are people, sinners are sinners.
I am NOT someone who believes in finding people’s sins and snubbing them—of course, Paul taught the Corinthians that if someone IN THE LOCAL church is sinning, they ought to be given the chance to repent...but if they don’t then they can be shunned. But as for those OUTSIDE the church, how can they be reached if we don’t engage them?
Sorry for the rant.
I am just concerned that we conservatives sometimes end up HATING the person who practices sodomy more than the sodomy alone. Jesus can save the worst of sinners...and His Spirit works, many times, through our witness. We DON’T excuse the sin, we DON’T endorse the sin. We DO try and show God’s love to the person sinning.
I have interacted on a friendly basis with lots of gays. I served (as a Christian) a lesbian when she was without family and friends and suddenly became paralysed on her job.
Even though I love her as a child of God, that does not mean I think lesbianism is a wonderful condition of mind and behavior. She was alone because she was a lesbian - mental - and she was not easy to serve. She was mean but I assited her through rehab and getting set up in life as a parapalgegic because Christ loves her and sent me to her aid.
The Second Reading from today's Mass was 1 Cor 12:3113:13 : "Brothers and sisters: Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts. But I shall show you a still more excellent way...."
You seem to know the more excellent way.
Doesn’t surprise me in the least the Dan Cathy would be pleasant and converse without bending on his deeply held values. To me, of course he would! Just because he doesn’t believe in so called gay marriage, doesn’t mean he hates anyone.
Thanks! :)
