There is need for the Communications Group to be timely and proactively aware of the reactions and opinions expressed by the general public as it relates to the Federal Reserve and its actions on a variety of subjects.

II. Social Listening Platforms Social media listening platforms are solutions that gather data from various social media outlets and news sources. They monitor billions of conversations and generate text analytics based on predefined criteria. They can also determine the sentiment of a speaker or writer with respect to some topic or document. The information gathered can guide the organizations public relations group in assessing the effectiveness of communication strategies.

Here are some of the services it can offer: o Track reach and spread of your messages and press releases o Handle crisis situations o Continuously monitor conversations o Identify and reach out to key bloggers and influencers o Spot emerging trends, discussions themes and topics

C. Reports and Metrics The solution must provide real-time monitoring of relevant conversations. It should provide sentiment analysis (positive, negative or neutral) around key conversational topics. It must be able to provide summaries or high level overviews of a specific set of topics. It should have a configurable dashboard that can easily be accessed by internal analysts or management. The dashboard must support customization by user or group access. The solution should provide an alerting mechanism that automatically sends out reports or notifications based a predefined trigger.

D. FRBNY Technology Integration The solution must be able to integrate with existing FRBNY technologies such as: Google Search appliance, Lotus notes suite and web trends. It must have support for single sign on or windows integrated authentication.

E. Cost Structure The solution should offer a flexible pricing structure that can support multiple user licensing. It should also have the option to base pricing on content volume and usage. Supplier acknowledges an understanding of and agrees to comply with the above minimum solutions requirements.

This is sort of common knowledge to web content developers and persons that operate or maintain web content. Every website has little web entities called spiders that are crawling through the public content to pick up on keywords and sometimes full page content.

For example, I run an automobile forum and it constantly has spiders from google, bing and such to scan the content so as to put it into their cached database used for searches. I can pull up an administrator level screen and see which public page they are on and what they are trying to do. I am sure some of the “guests” on the website are unidentified spiders perhaps with spoofed IP addresses.

Now though, what this is describing is a spider entity that is probably camouflaged and faster plus has an ability to break security to get into restricted areas. If they want a state of the art query software, just get google to build them one. LOL!

The guy mapped out connections worldwide using only facebook connections. All of the borders are drawn using facebook connections.

If you know enough to put pants on when you go out in public, you should know enough to keep your pants on when you into the public square named the Internet.

Whatever you say and do on the internet, is government and corporate property. They are not kind masters.

There was a article I read recently that claimed shrinks should get access to and read their paients’ social media acconts so they can see how the “patient” interacts with people outside the clinical setting. Employers are also reading social media records.

If you don’t have social media accounts, you are susposedly supect by government authorities investigating you. If you have social media accounts, you are nuts, given the reality of spying. Privacy does not exist. The government is aggressively paranoid and without legal or constitutional limits thanks to the patriot’s WAR ON TERROR. You - Americans - are the suspected terrorists.

Oh, the RNC has ALL the data they need, I personally know this. The problem is that they are cowards to use it. They keep thinking they are taking “the high road” playing by Queensberry Rules when the DNC is playing by Schoolyard Rules. The Prim and Proper crowd of the RNC gets its ass kicked every time. The RNC needs the conservative message but then fight with it by schoolyard rules. Trust me, they have the data, all of it, they just refuse to use it and fight.

Your presence here is threatening to many. Many of them in government.

Mine too. Everyone here.

“‘swhy FR should be careful about some of the threatening remarks that have gone uncensored...”

“threatening remarks” are up to individual interpretation. Members of congress and those in the White House are public office holders and as such, people can say what they want about these public individuals. I read on this forum every day and not one time have I heard anyone seriously threaten the life of anyone. Sometimes gross description of the job they are doing in public office, but never suggest action to harm anyone.

Now, if Hussein reads comments about him on here, he’s going to get his feelings hurt, nothing more.

“NO LAW PREVENTING THE USE OF THESE SOCIAL-LISTENING SOFTWARE PLATFORMS FOR BEING MISUSED FOR POLITICAL GAIN!”

It's information that can be had so it's free speech. Anyone in the world can click on FR and read what's here and mine all of one person's posts. To use it is not illegal. You say it's being misused but that's because you don't want it used that way. You see what I mean?

Social media is the critical electronic battle space, no question. At some point, socialists bent on a power grab decide to “go overt” with purges. This happens after they are assured that the primary media will support them, no matter what. For the current regime, Fast and Furious coverage, and Benghazi coverage, assures them that their media flanks are covered.

The temptation will be irresistible to use Social Network Analysis (SNA) to plan a “decapitation strike” against “enemy” political groups. Socialist regimes (National or International, read, Nazi or Communist), always ultimately have their “breakout” Bolshevik moment. SNA exploitation may tempt them into an early putsch attempt.

That's why I wrote the short fiction piece “What I saw at the coup.” That's what it's about: a “decapitation strike” using SNA.

“What I saw at the coup.”

If a (Software) tool is commissioned and paid for by the government, then the misuse of that tool (for partisan political gain) is most assuredly against the law, or should be.

Take a look at my post number 13 whereinwhich I come to a pretty amazing observation/conclusion.

This could explain how such an unpopular president pulled it out despite ALL the signs that he wouldn't.

“Gentlemen, I think all of us agree, that the GOPe as a political entity is, if not dead, then at the least is on terminal life support. All the counter-intel and social networking on the planet will not resuscitate it. Let us gather by the bedside, and listen for the death rattle, pay our final respects, and then off to the pub where we form the new party.”

Most accurate post on this thread and exactly what I think, too.
